HONDA#1:11.820
I know there’s a really low 11, or maybe even a really high 10 in there, but I just gave up trying to chase your time. I keep screwing up and losing almost exactly .185 in the first sector, recouping ~.250-.275 in the middle, then losing it on the final turn. Think I slowly lost most of my brain cells after 20 some-odd laps.
Yeah a perfect lap out there is a pipe dream
Very nice mate
Attention racers,
Event 34 is over, and here are the abridged results, with full results and more on the event sheet.
PHLS#35 officially starts now, with a British duel paying hommage to a bygone era.
On one side, a car inspired by Formula 1, that resists some of the trappings of modern hypercars, no AWD, no hybrid powertrain, just a twin turbo V8 with big aero, big brakes, and dual-clutch sequential transmission. Named after one of Formula 1’s most famous and tragic champions: the McLaren Senna.
On the other side, a car designed by the father of the Brabham BT46 Fan Car, the McLaren MP4/4, the McLaren F1, powered by legendary F1 engine supplier Cosworth with a naturally aspirated V12 and a good old H-pattern manual gearbox. A 90s supercar out of its time: the GMA T.50.

Pretty sure the T50’s going to walk away with this challenge
Mugello club is a great hotlapping track imho. If you mess up, nevermind, there’ll be another one along in (less than) a minute!
Plus I started taking hotlapping seriously at this track back in the Forza 2 demo.
Plus plus I need to get my sorry a-$ out of 7th place. Gulp.
Fastest T50 L/B time is currently 51.4
Fastest Senna L/B time is currently 52.6
Well, it has 100% more fan than the McLaren so makes sense to me
The Mugello MP top 50 leaderboard (non meta) has no fewer than 10 times set in the T50, with none in the Senna. I’d say the Senna has its work cut out this week!

Determined to crack that 51.4 record but need to refine the tune. Just needs a little more low speed rotation without affecting the rest of it. Also think this track might benefit from running low rates and gambling around the sausage curbs through the middle sector.
Shared to storefront but also listing it below since it’s a WIP with all of 15 mins put in…

Sorry for the spam. Def have to cheese the curbs. Gained three tenths going to a softer setup.

Tune feels good to me, like 98% there. Could maybe find a couple tenths for my driving style, but the gap to 51.4 feels more like skill issue lol.
