On my Forza 7 i can not RETAIN saved paintings and added decals on my cars !! It is possible to save your work in memory , but , even though it is actually saved + added to your car , everything you just painted / added decal work erases when go back to main menu to watch your garage or pick a car to race with – everything goes back to how the car looked initially.
Same thing happens if first paint the car , save your work both in memory + on car , and then go to " apply decals " – colour of your car instantly erases and goes back to origin , again …
VERY IRRITATING INDEED ! ( doesn´t matter if Forza 7 is on- or offline. Both game + console also has latest updates installed )
Anyone out there who can tell what is going on ? …
Getting this exact same thing!
Apply paint to a car, go to the “Apply Decals” tab and the paint has been removed.

Both 2019 Hyundai Velosters (Turbo and N)
Jaguar F-Pace
Jaguar F-Type Project 7
2018 Kia Stinger

I really wonder if Turn 10 / Microsoft Studios are aware of this issue ?! There must be some problem in the intern saving system of the game . Further on , in my garage some of the cars does not appear
on that photo - strip to the left showing your cars , those ( 3 ) cars which is suppose to be shown are instead simply blank … even though that particular car actually appears there on your garage floor at that moment. Simply empty photo to the left like it doesn´t exist. Weird !
Glad seeing that i´m not the only one having equal painting / decal - problems. I thought the memory on my Xbox console or my particular Forza 7 - disc was corrupt .
The Forza - crew must do something about this issue !
Same for me with the 2012 Porsche 911 GT2 RS and the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

I personally have had the issue since the November update I believe. They say that it is being looked into for SEVEN(!!!) months now. Finally I am glad to see other people posting about it so maybe something will get done about it. Because it is very annoying indeed, I feel I paid $100 for a broken game (customization is a cornerstone of the Forza series) and they don’t seen to mind. Not realizing that thet are destroying consumer’s confidence in them and their products. Personally I’m no longer preordering their games and more than likely going to buy them used from now on.
