@sslumdog: I don’t think we’re what you would call a drift club. If you love having fun, racing, and doing events this is the place for you.
If you’re looking for people to play with online and drift or tandem and the likes, I hate to say it, but you’d probably be better looking elsewhere.
Off topic, I couldn’t think of anywhere to post it, and there were no appropriate posts at the time so it’s getting put here. Feel free to save a copy or snap up the link and use i as you feel appropriate:
I don’t know what to tell you about that. If you really want to save it for your own use, right-click and save as… Then re-upload it yourself somewhere.
The new monthly rivals will be out this Friday. Also being released this Friday is the Forza Motorsport 5 #ForzaInvitational Rivals event. It was brought to my attention that there are some leaderboards that have been neglected for quite some time. In an attempt to make these leaderboards feel like they belong, and to have some fun competition before the new set of events here is a new challenge.
Let’s run a six race Gauntlet, fastest combined time is the fastest!
Sisteron - Vitesse Circuit
Nice Massena - Promenade Street Race
Saint Martin - Ville Circuit
Castelletto - East Forest Trail
Montellino - South Scramble
San Giovanni - Old Town Circuit
Here’s the catch - you must do each event in D-Class! Let’s show the D-Class cars and leaderboards some love and have a great time racing. Since these leaderboards are so sparse, it’s not required to post your time here, but hey, bragging rights, right?
Once the announcement of the March Rivals is made, I will compile and post results here.
Have a great time everyone, and see you on the road!
Because I can’t actually read the name due to some poor in-game choices (not on my part) I can’t tell you what the event name is. All I know is that it starts with the word Mazda!
For this week (and weekend) let’s see how many OVENs we can get on the leaderboard for the 2016 Mazda MX-5 contest event. Aim for the top 250 and show phREDESIGN what his club can do!
I’m not sure how they are picking a final winner but make sure you also register in the Mazda AD so you have a chance at winning one of those things. They look awesome, they sound awesome, and they drive pretty darn good - driving a rivals event for a chance to win one - totally worth it.
Looks like it’s the two fastest times set BUT they have to be by people who registered in the the advertisement on the dashboard. Sadly, I doubt the top 40 something people will have all not registered. I also doubt I can improve my time - I just can’t seem to figure out the right line and throttle to take to go faster.
I entered and its sad to see that my once #3 spot for the contest as a registered contender for the car is being beaten by wallriders. If it was up to me id go back and change the rules that it must be clean and reviewed by someone within the promotion. Who in the right mind would want to award a real car to someone who destroyed the car in the game by slamming into walls? How would that be even fun to watch at the event in L.A.? Shortcuts are one thing but slamming the car into walls to get a better time shouldnt be allowed. Am i claiming to be the fastest time up there clean? Absolutely not. The fact of the matter is that anyone that has a rivals time that they posted with wallriding and slamming into walls to stay fast should be disqualified.
Didn’t you however wallride the first hairpin? I remember following your ghost and watching you intentionally ride that wall.
Off the line it’s hit and miss with RT79pt’s ghost and then some of the corners I just can’t seem to figure out between throttle and line. Often times I find I have good throttle control but the line isn’t good or I’m too slow at that point or I have that great line but something else doesn’t work out.
After running the event at least 25 times and not improving my time at all, I’ve sort of decided to stop.
And don’t feel too bad, at least you’re still up there. I went from 21st to 44th… If I recall you dropped down to 8th
I tried a couple more runs to set a faster lap and didn’t beat my time. I think I’ll just leave it where it’s at for now and maybe try next week again once it’s had some time to rest. You had a very good Criminal, good job.
Good job to all OVEN members who have run, and good job RT79pt, it has been quite the challenge chasing you.
