What’s the best cars for the oval track, or good tunes I just can’t seem to win it, tried so many cars, won all other races and pr stunts etc in the game but for some reason can’t do better than 2nd on the oval track
Best car in what class?
Look at the rivals and see who’s using what.
Wrt tunes, can’t comment, mostly run stock cept for s1/2
If you’re not driving the Forsberg Camry you’re doing it wrong.
Lotus Elise GT1 … just floor it and turn left alot.
Yesterday I did the Event Lab with the oval track in the Viper AE. It’s maxed out and has all aero mods. I maxed out the downforce too and was able to keep it floored the whole time. It did about 22 seconds per lap. I guess you can do the same thing too with the Stadium Oval but I haven’t tried that yet.
+1 for the Forsberg, @TonyKartRcr 's tune is the best one I’ve found for it in S1, both of us are at under 14 seconds with it.
If you just want the out and out best car though specificity has already said it, the top of the S1 board is packed with Elise GT1’s.
Diablo GTR for S2, it has 93% of the top 100 times at the time of writing this and may even be 94% as the #1 time that’s in a different car looks a bit suspect at first glance.
Awesome feedback thanks! I need to jump back into that car and see what else I can get out of it. I was in the top 20 with that tune. I’ve probably been knocked down a bit now though.
I have an A class NSX-R GT that is pretty quick too. For those of you that want to build your own tune. Starting point is RWD, full aero and a lot of gear. Tweak your ARB’s and suspension from there.
I’ll be trying yours. Might even have a go at tweaking it myself. Just need to see if there’s a Coke C2 livery out there too. …or two.
How does one submit an entry?
Yep. Tony’s Camry wins the oval race easy. You don’t even have to do sub 15 seconds. Just hoovers them up.
Edit: - Got it under 14 seconds too. (00:13.881) Track physics themselves feel a bit RNG, but this is as nice as I reckon you will get a NASCAR here. Tried a few other tunes now, but this definitely feels the most satisfyingly predictable and well put together.
