Sorry to waste a post on this but i can’t find any info on how to play infected. I just need to know what the orange icons mean and what to do when i am an orange icon.

You mean the orange kinda skull shaped icons? Those are “Playground Games”, which are multiplayer events that are not races, like Infected. Also King, Flag Rush, and a bunch of others. You enter one the same way you would enter a race. They’re multiplayer events, so you need to have Xbox Live to play them. Then you can start an event, and invite people to join. Or if you see somebody else’s invite pop up on your map, you can join theirs.
Or do you mean the icons in the actual game of Infected? Sorry, wasn’t reading clearly.
I think Purple are survivors, Orange are infected. If you’re purple, avoid the orange. If you’re orange, try to run into the purple. Or something like that.

In game
Green is infected
Purple are survivors
Orange are survivors that have been infected but purple survivors can touch them and heal them and turn them purple again
Green cars are the infected team, purple are the survivors. If a purple car is hit by a green car, it turns orange. It can go back to purple if it hits another purple car (i.e., a team-mate can heal you). Once everyone is orange, it’s game over.
Or the time runs out, whichever occurs first

Green = ram Purple vehicles (to infect them)
Orange = ram Purple vehicles (to be healed by them)
Purple = avoid Green vehicles, ram Orange vehicles (to heal them)
The games pretty much all boil down to either trying to ram specific other vehicles, or trying to avoid specific other vehicles who are trying to ram you.
That actually sounds fun.
IMHO, it is, but I don’t like it at the gardens or the mudpark. The quarry and rail yard is pretty fun.
