While browsing through the forums, I noticed that the “Suggestion Hub” section of the forums (you know, the ONE PLACE where ‘they’ are tracking user requests?) is closed.
There is no way to post new suggestions, no way to reply to any posts, no way to vote for previous suggestions… etc.
In typical forza management fashion, they have flipped the script again making it confusing and difficult to accept feedback from the community. This should raise concern as to what to expect from Turn 10 and forum management officials when the game is launched.
If its anything like the previous FH titles or FM5 and onward, we are going to be looking at a ‘AAA’ game riddled with bugs at launch and little to no support or communication, let alone resolutions AT BEST.
I feel like a broken record,… am I crazy for having this mindset based on previous Forza titles?
Click on a subcategory and you should see the ability to create a topic; creating topics when viewing master categories is disabled so that topics don’t go without the right categorization.
Previously Considered Suggestions is where we’ll be putting completed or rejected ideas, so voting is disabled there as well. In the case of car models which may cover more than the specific trims in both FM and FH5 car rosters, players can resubmit in the Car Topic Submissions thread. This is to reset the voting so we know how much interest there is in models that aren’t in the games.
We’re aware that there’s work to do in helping players navigate to the right places to provide feedback, and we want to improve on that leading up to Forza Motorsport launch and beyond. As the new game approaches there is plenty of work to do, and some prioritization of items is to be expected, just as the developers can’t drop in all the features that players want at a moment’s notice.
Your patience is appreciated and we hope any kinks don’t discourage you from continuing to submit feedback. Both Horizon and Motorsport are reactive to community feedback more than ever because we want everyone to have the best experience possible.
You can hear Chris Esaki talk about the development efforts to make Forza Motorsport more agile in responding to community feedback in today’s interview video from Digital Foundry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND813cWYJkE&t=108s
I hope this sentiment leads specifically to quick changes to the upgrade progression system. Rather than letting people hate it for a year and a half before deciding to dump the entire thing and go back to the way it used to work.
I agree absolutely. Made entire threads with that topic alone. But people and reviewers already hate it. So its reasonable to expect an inevitable change. My hope is that its not an outright removal.
So will car threads be closed if the car is already in both Horizon AND MotorSport? Or will they be split into separate Horizon & MotorSport voting categories?
Furthermore would it be possible to break up the previously suggestions category into accepted and rejected?
