It would be nice if a turn 10 rep or game master would reply to this… i just recently started getting the message “failed to aquire server data” when trying to join an online hopper lobby. Id like one of two things to happen… id like to either have help resolving this issue or have my money refunded cause i only play this game for the online racing. Not a fan at all of the career mode. I know the issue is not with my internet because i can play all other games for xbox one online perfectly fine. Forza is the only game i cant. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game, ive resetted my router, and ive resetted the xbox one itself and still no change. This is just old and frustrating now cause ive had problems with every forza game since forza 2. I dont plan on purchasing any future forza titles anymore until a lot of changes take place. Both online quality needs improvement and online player skill matching needs work on. Getting punted in corners cause people need the cheaterboards with cheaterboard setups and dont wanna pass clean.
I had the exact same message two days ago.
Go to network settings, advanced settings, and clear the alternate MAC address. You console will restart and you should be able to get online.
Tried clearing out alternate mac address. Didnt work. If i remember correctly it did this “failed to acquire server data” thing on me back near when forza 6 first came out. They made an update and it started doing that after i updated game. It stopped doing it when the next update came out. So i guess since i know i wont get money returned back to me cause returning $60 back to a customer would break the company bank ill just have to wait for the next update to come out and see if that works. If that doesnt work im pretty much out $60 and no more purchasing any forza installments for this guy. I have so much money invested into just the forza games alone i could buy the next xbox console if a new one is made…lol. ive gone through 3-4 copies of forza 2… 2 copies of forza 3… 3-4 copies of forza 4… a copy of forza 5 and now this copy of forza 6. I cant go back and play any of the old ones cause all discs wore out from playing too much. Im done with the forza franchise. Thisll be my last post. Great game but quality isnt there. Check your NAT settings, too restrictive and Forza won’t work properly. If you had trouble with every Forza game the problem is probably on your end
If you quit FM6 do you turn off your xbox before ending the game manually on your xbox dashboard? If you choose “quit game” from your dashboard it prevents multiple errors from happening.
