Trying to do an online private/custom race (because ‘free’ mode isnt very free)
Set it to 3hr instead of number of laps at Silverstone (go hard or go home!)
Regardless of where I am it just says 5/6 even if Im 2nd. On the right its changed to times instead of distance and all on +0.000.000. Just wondering what Im doing wrong. Or should I just go back to #laps?
Without knowing more details my guess is that since a timed race ranks position based on number of laps, and if all the cars are in the same lap, it might be relative to when you crossed the start line (your starting grid order).
Distance - I lose number of laps, lap times but get shown distance to other cars. total distance in 0.1 increments over the whole race would be nice, as opposed to 1 mile, 2 miles, 3 miles every lap. that doesnt tell me anything
Time - Get lap times but no distance to next car. also position indicator stays fixed regardless of if your’re lagging back or gone flying off at the start
So best way seems to be set to #laps which isnt a problem, just no what i wanted to do.
Not being able to finish the lap when the timer hits 0.000 to sucks
In an endurance race the race is over the moment the time is reached so finishing a lap is academic. I’ve not checked the available settings myself but distance would have seemed the obvious choice but then the number of laps isn’t important, only position and gap so if they’re not shown it does look like an oversight. You have to have some way of gauging your progress.
