I guess I qualify. I was already a teenager when Asteroids came out in 1979. I’ve been playing video games ever since.

Same here - though I soon moved on to Defender when it was a big thing.
Spent all day in the Arcade on one coin tagging a mate to take over while I went for some grub and came back to let him get some too.
Arcade owner was Livid.

57 a couple of weeks back, like most of us old farts i would like to see more classics from the 50’s & 60’s. I also agree with more realistic tuning which in turn would bring more realism back to the game as FH5 has become far to arcade silliness for my taste. I have every Forza Motorsport although doubtful i will be getting the new one if it is same old same old with cars and tracks. I also have every FH but as you say they have stopped catering for the bottom % which is where i fall so believe this will be my last as i spend more time on FH3 & FH4 now than i do on FH5 as the 200mph Peels, Isetta’s, Moggy Minors etc drive me mad. The 2006 game Test Drive Unlimited where FH takes most of it’s inspiration from for me is still a far superior open world racing game, yes the graphics have dated now but i have it on Pc and am still playing it some 16 years later. I can state as a fact i will not be playing any of the FH titles after that many years.

47 here and I’m hooked on horizon 5 at the moment. I play on a mid range sim rig and I can’t get enough of hopping between the different cars to experience how they all feel and compare. I barely race…only to get a new car if necessary. I mostly drive around and cruise roads, opening up when the road gets fun or hotlapping whatever. Just got done messing around with ‘a new to me’ 1970 mach 1 mustang…what a different experience compared to the mki and mkii GTs and 2009 gt500 I had been focused on for the hour before I picked up the mach 1 (I guess tonight was Ford night for me…all great cars). So fun to shut all the HUD crap off and just bounce around different cars that actually feel and drive differently in an open world.
I played TDU as well. I really liked the idea of dealerships in that game. I don’t think I could go back to those graphics and I don’t remember being too happy with the wheel force feedback in that game…could be remembering wrong though.

yet another generation x here, Pong console when I was in single figure years, Apple II, ZX Spectrum, dropped to a few PC games for a while, eventually caught up with a 360
