Not long since I’ve started doing liverys, but feel like I’ve already made a few steps forward, but there is of course a lot left to learn & improve! But am pretty happy with the result on this one anyway & maybe one or two of you like it as well

Here’s my take on the Torana. It’s an old school design with Heinz as the main sponsor.

2023 Lotus Emira
“Refined Edition”
SC: 978 641 301
This entry is a refined version of the original livery I titled, “All Gloss Carbon” which is currently the second most downloaded livery for the Lotus Emira.
While it doesn’t feature a detailed scene or a thousand layered piece of art, it does feature some cool techniques that don’t appear to be generally advertised. The main one being the transformation of the regular satin finished carbon fiber base into the bright super-gloss exposed carbon that is this liveries main event. This is done by first changing the setting that makes any applied vinyl either a matte or gloss finish. Once the dial is slid to the far right “gloss” setting; grab a shape of your choice and color and stretch it to cover every edge of the cars canvas then finally lower the opacity to the lowest setting possible which I believe is .74. Depending on the cars original finish you might need to duplicate the, (almost) invisible layer to achieve the super gloss effect. Alternatively, this can also be done to turn and exclusively gloss finish (such as chromacolor or pearl) into a matte finish giving your car a truly unique feel!
While that technique alone is super cool, what brings this livery over the top are it’s use of bright colored fades and lowered opacity sections. Specifically the black carbon roof effect was achieved by using lowered opacity black panels that cannot be overlapped in any instance as overlapping would double the opacity used and ruin the effect.
Using lots of restraint the use of fades and bright colors ultimately highlighted the attributes of the beautiful Emira’s body. As for the rear, the high number of paralleled thin lines really showcase the curves on the part of the car that we see most. Finally, centered in the lime green font, shouts the “Emira” logo as it sits perfectly in the similarly lined aesthetic that surrounds it.
Thanks for reading and look forward to downloading many of the truly fantastic liveries in this forum!
