Offensive Liveries and Vinyls

I was told they moderate these things. I have tried to report a few to no avail. I think they are not protecting the family oriented play they are presenting. These are prime examples. They are blatantly offensive and I know many parents agree that they dot want these available to children. They must have some standard that is not comprehensible to regular parents. I personally can say these have been up for a long time even with reporting. I feel middle fingers and swear word do not fit family values that decent parents try to instill in their children. I am not sure what can be done or even if they try to censor the pics, but trust me be aware of what is available for your children on this game.

[Mod edit - WSD - Profanity and alluding to profanity is not allowed on the forums even in picture format]

so you have officially reported them in game but nothing is happening

All you can do is to report them as you have been doing and you have a point there are way to many on that page. Not sure how long it takes for for reports to be acted on but they are from post that appear on the forums from peeps baned form on line activities, designs and Auction house. Taking them all down may be harder to do as designs may be save on many cars in use, and deleting the designs may very well cause problems causing the game to crash or lock up due to a corrupt design on a car.

It’s a never ending game of Whac-A-Mole.

Offensive designs are removed and the users who created or shared them are banned from sharing designs as they are found. But this is a manual process.

You can always change parental settings to block UGC if you are concerned about offensive content.

Then skip past it. I do agree, as someone wrote “Hail Satan” on the side of over 50 paint jobs and it took me 12 reports to get his offensive paint jobs down.

I will say I was amused that the forum censored the pics of the public offerings they have online right now available to anyone, got to see the humor in it I suppose

Moderation on the forums is a different set of people than those online. Having said that it is easy to report offensive content and if people did so more often they wouldn’t last long.

We forum moderators moderate the forums, not the content made available in game. As Jonk pointed out, Turn 10 manually review and remove as needed these items once they’re reported but as it is a manual process, it can take a little time. Keep reporting the offensive content you see and it will be reviewed as quickly as possible for possible removal of the content and possibly those posting it.

We moderators do see the humor in you bringing attention to this issue, for our own reasons.

I’ve spotted a political one, I think it was in a search, don’t remember which car (may have been a BMW). Regardless of anyone’s opinion, I don’t think this is the place to discuss politics, even though the offended politician is disliked by many. If I see it again, I’ll report it. Are reports anonymous?

There is a “Report” button in-game, as well on each post in these forums.

The regulations are the same, governed by Microsoft Code of Conduct which everyone has agreed to abide by when we individually create our Xbox Live accounts and gamertags.

If you’ve forgotten: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Legal/CodeOfConduct?xr=footnav

They’re simple rules, with a simple goal of keeping the trash out of these forums and/or what is displayed in on-line content.

LOL it took all of five minutes for me to get banned for that and I Did learn my lesson.

Screen Capping the car helps. In the comment part of the report, ask them to view your feed…

Could you not be on the receiving end of a punishment from XBL for having something like that in your feed?

Just REPORT bad things in-game by using the current system. That sends a copy of the item - including ALL surfaces of liveries/Designs - to Turn 10 in a special queue which they review all the time, and take the appropriate action on the offending items. Even if the person removes something later, Turn 10 still has the copy.

IF you habitually report people and there’s no violation, the reverse can be true because improperly accusing people of violations will also be deemed a violation of the Microsoft Code of Conduct. Know the Code, and apply it properly.
