Thanks for the link. Appreciate it.
I was waiting for a punishment actually. Kind of crap that people exploited the heck out of this and not be resetted while honest people who didn’t use the glitch are now behind severely in terms of cash and cars.
IE I have 6D 4H 15m played with 263 vehicles, Driver Level 198 and Tier 21 for collections
Someone on my list has about 2D played and 600+ cars and is Driver level 30…Seem fair?
Play the game at your own pace and enjoy it. Getting 600+ cars through hard racing and earning is a lot more satisfying than exploiting the game.
I don’t know, if you put something like “this item will give you lots of money and/or XP if you go here” and then put a 30 second time limit in that area/track, that’s introducing an exploit that should be stupidly obvious to anyone. 'Cause smart people will go “What? I can earn millions of monies and levels in an hour or two?” Yeah. I feel like…that’s a QA thing. And those QA testers, if Forza has any, probably saw that and said nothing…'cause exploits. It was super grindy, but some people are fine with that.
In short, in my opinion, if you make a painfully obvious exploit like that, then it’s the developer’s fault for not nerfing it from the beginning and I don’t really consider it cheating 'cause you still have to work for it. That said…600 cars by level 30 still shouldn’t be possible. Unless, I guess if you just used the Acura FE and got millions and millions of monies.
Very much the reason I did not exploit. I earned all of my cars the true way and will keep doing so. Just sucks to see people exploit this and say it wasn’t cheating…like…really? lol
I’m glad they have done something to try and sort this out but I suspect the in game economy is still skewed by the crash glitch exploiters especially…
I finally complete the Elite Cups yesterday (Standard length -short races)… So I went on my second low value car spending spree to get numbers of cars up now got 407 cars…
I have got over 61h of Driving in 6,5000+ miles over 701 races I have been using 50 lap Ovals to get some money together every so often currently only 6K Cr in the bank so need to get the miles done to buy the latest release of speciality cars…
This isn’t EVE Online. I wouldn’t really describe this game as having an economy.
Yeah a good portion of my time went to the campaign, the other has gone to drift tuning and drifting. Not all of them were races so I didn’t always get the money but I also have almost 4m credits (due to not having spending sprees)
The punishment is for the glitch and not oppose to people using the FE cars. The FE cars was actually a smart move to make some good credits, but, you were still racing albeit 30 seconds and using the flat rate. Although something that IS untested is using a timed race with a FE car and letting the time die down while you sleep and cross the line to get the XP and credits and restarting the race while you go to school/work.
As far as the glitch, it WILL ruin the economy when the marketplace opens up which is why I was waiting on a account reset or possible bans to ensue.
I’m not seeing how it will effect the “economy” one way or another. There’s no legendary painter status, so there is only so high a car can be posted for.
And if those glitchers buy cars, then the people selling make money.
I think it does. Glitchers are able to hoard the rare cars and ask stupid amount of money of them. Kinda like those of ”legendary painter” status on FH3 selling camoed cars for 20mil and hoarding the forzathon cars.
Luckily there is an upside in all this. T10 is worried about their microtransactions so they are actively fixing these glitches, therefore minimizing the effect. Hopefully that is. And those fixes ultimately are taking the time away to actually fixing the game. Which is not so great, but we are the ones upsetting the exonomy in the end. A viscious cycle I would say.
Indeed. How would you like it if you spent 14+ days trying to get one car but you can’t, spending 30m credits or more trying to get it but cant when all you see people selling are maxed out credit buyouts on a car that is bone stock? Do you want to spend 20 million on a car before its upgrades? I sure as heck don’t want to. That’s how it will effect the economy, not from them buying, but from them selling.
Speaking of EVE, they did the same thing with the Skill Injectors a few months ago when they added in the small injectors, the prices went REALLY stupid for a few days before they went back down.
So they removed the XP boost totally ? I have no idea what the glitches/exploits were, but isn’t this like throwing the baby out with the bathwater ?
Now all FE cars have similar bonus (all CR) seems a bit odd.
I have stalled the career now waiting for fixes, with rivals ghost issues and no decent online hoppers it looks like I am on vacation for a bit !

You could literally run 1 lap races and after 2, you’ll have a new level with option for free credits and cars. That was the exploit. Within an hour you’d have millions and a bunch of free cars.
Xp goes to driver level. Every driver level you get a reward.
Follow now?
Yes, no cars will have any XP associated with it and all credits are not percentage based. So no more XP for doing drifts or x amount of credits for racing on a track. For the FE cars, people were taking the ones with like 15-20K credits and doing 30 second races on that track to rack up credits extremely quickly. That isn’t the exploit we are mainly mad at.
The exploit in question is if you do a certain amount of things to a race set up, you can finish the race quickly and it bugs out the driver level system in which you click on your rewards box and will continuously get the rewards without leveling your driver up. Not just a few times but i’ve heard as much as getting 85+ level rewards from 5 minutes of work. That right there is 1.7m ( 20K x 85) credits just from leveling up, that isn’t including the cars/driver gear or getting possibly 4.25 million (again 50K x 85) from less than 5 minutes of work. Now you spend all day doing this, or a few days doing this, you’re pretty much maxed credits, and having most cars, if not all cars and duplicates of them and possibly selling the cars if allowed, gaining more credits or sitting on them to flood the market with them when it opens.
There will always be features in a game, which can be creatively used in other ways they were meant to be. If cars give you certain boosts - well why not use them ? I wonder why nobody (game testers ?!) saw the danger of combining ridicously short races of 30 seconds with fixed EP or credit boni. Don´t blame the players - all they did was playing the game in a way it offered. Everything was there in the game, no mods or trainers. As with the VIP gifts or the bugs in the game, my feeling remains that Forza 7 was rushed out to meet certain deadlines, rather than being a finished product.
The actual % values have change for some FE cars as well as the removal of XP boost and replacing it with CR I am working through the ones I have at the moment the in game descriptions aren’t consistent …

50% - 50% = +50% on any track
50% | +50% Location = +100% at Location or +50% on any track
Isn’t it a bit overhasty to refer about unknown circumstances? We don’t know, what pricing will be possible in the ah. Further, there aren’t just glitchers playing the game. Through all these expensive cars, there always were normally or even cheap priced cars. In fh3 the most expensive were the fe’s - on both, price and bid.
As with the crates, no one has to buy those things, when he doesn’t want to spend the cr for it.
As Turn 10 has mentioned, actions were taken against cheaters - “glitches” or otherwise.
Microsoft’s Code of Conduct specifically addressed this type of illegal play:
"Don’t cheat or tamper. For example, don’t:
Use unauthorized hardware or software
Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
Make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents (e.g., tenure, Avatar, game saves, Gamerscore, achievements)
Intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods"

If there were cheap desirable/rare cars put up on the auction house, the first people to get them would be the exploiters. They would scan and scalp the auction house for profitable resale. These people would be the institutional investors per say, with the ability to ruthlessly outbid the common man on an otherwise good deal. With all supply hoarded up from the open market, the perpetually undying demand would translate to an endless cycle of profit on their end. At which point, they will own the open market. Scrap the investor analogy, these guys would be like drug dealers all over again.
