This may sound a little oxymoronic but why should we be allowed to create new threads? Everything we are posting is either a wish list item or news about FM6.
Edit: I misspelled new.

Possibly because there can be topics created, based on gauging interest between forum members, whether it be potential clubs, or just common interests. Also, there’s bound to be more info released on FM6, and we all know that there will be multiple threads created for them.
It’s not unusual, this site always makes a forum for a new game a few months before it drops. Probably to keep discussion about it from cluttering up the other rooms.
irony, post a thread to complain about the ability you just invoked. there are some things like your topic which are not wish list. that new gt is not wishlist because its confirmed. you could debate the merits and short comings of the car. you could discuss that might be needed in other cars to keep a balanced race so entire classes dont become single car specific like with the mazda in fm5. you could debate all of ford racing since ford racing is a new turn ten partnership it seems. we could complain about the lack of info so other tracks/cars/etc…are confirmed and no longer wish related. maybe even some of fords test tracks make it into the game. ford is useing fm5 as advertising so maybe they’ll pick of the costs of putting extra ford stuff into the game. who knows? well maybe dan and turn ten but they aren’t talking. so we are left to guess.
The problem with wish lists is they become unwieldy big, and full of repetition, because it is not feasible to read through them completely. In some instances, it would be nice to discuss individual ideas more fully, though i understand that is something that could easily balloon out of control as well.
This. Someone should take all the ideas and make them into a list for people to vote for/against.
Lets be honest here.
Wish lists are to centralize these wishes so there isnt a bunch of threads cluttering the forums. The developers don’t care that much about what the community wants, its just to shut people up and make sure things are as orderly as possible.
Not to discourage though, all my ideas and cars I suggested got put/implamented into Forza 5.
Edit: Wow I thought this was specifically about the dedicated wish list threads. /facepalm
The creators of new threads on the same subjects recognize that their contributions are far, far more important than those of their peers and are therefore somehow deserving of yet another new thread to cover the exact same material but with the obvious, to the creator at least, benefit of having them and their opinion at the start of this new and clearly more important conversation.
'Twas always thus and always thus shall be.

This is where I’m going to disagree to an extent which is why the OP is completely correct. Following you all’s moderation practice based on previous actions, nearly every single thread in the FM6 discussion could be lumped into one of the wishlist threads. What I absolutely hate about these forums and why I choose to use other sites to discuss Forza content is discussions here are difficult to follow at times and become spread thin over multiple pages. You might have 3 topics being discussed in a single thread and by the time you have several replies to those 3 topics you are spread across 5-6 pages. Often replies are missed and topics die because you need to sift through several posts of car/track list to get back on the topic at hand. It’s doesn’t feel like a discussion forum but very much like a chat room.
Never saw T10 including or changing anything from any “ranting threads” so dont understand the purpose of all the yak yak on most of the threads thats just a repeat of others. Untill I’m proofed wrong, I’ll just stick to the wishlists and hope for the best.
