The Festival Playlist is confirmed to return for FH6, so to keep it simple, here’s the solution that Playground should consider:
All reward cars for a particular month’s playlist should become available in the Autoshow as soon as the next update starts.
This means that if you want the cars for free and earlier than others, you can play through the Festival Playlist, but if you skip or miss out, the cars will be available to purchase as soon as the next update/playlist starts, but you will need to grind for them based on their retail price.
That way it also abolishes the Backstage Pass as it is plagued with the inability to buy duplicates, the fact that you needed a separate currency (Backstage pass tickets), and that the selection of cars are picked by popular vote, which can be abused to prevent others from getting cars they need.
It also stops abuses and “sniping” behaviors in the Auction House as well.
