NITROUS OR NOT??? LET THE ARGUMENTS BEGIN!!!
Definitely no.
Never
No.
Yes, BUT…
In FH2 F&F there was NOS, but the way it was implemented made it great. Nitrous was only usable in races and then you had a fixed amount which you could use up through out the race. So it was pretty realistic, not like in NFS, where you could recharge N2O by drifting or something.
I think if they implement it in a similar way for FH6 it could work. Only for specific street racing events that have a tuner or illegal vibe to them, but not for any official festival events. For EventLab they could let the builder choose whether NOS is allowed. And you’d have to upgrade the car with either 1 or 2 NOS bottles, which would increase weight, so you’d only upgrade that for tuner events, but not events where it’s not allowed. And if you use N2O in the race, the cost of the bottle would be deducted from the prize money at the end of a race.
Could be an interesting mechanic.
Maybe, but it shouldn’t be implemented in the same way like in the crew or NFS where your car magicaly regenerates NOS from thin air and it turns your car into a rocket ship the moment you use it. I I believe it doesn’t suit Forza Horizon’s aesthetics or gameplay at all. I’d prefer a more grounded implementation of nitrous. For example, you’d get only one charge per race that doesn’t replenish during the race, and not every car would be equipped with it by default, obviously.
I’d rather have realistic nitrous that doesn’t recharge or shoot flames from your exhausts. Hollywood nitrous has been done to death in arcade racers at this point imo.
Also for the love of god, don’t make it a core mechanic like in The Crew.
Only if it’s portrayed in a realistic manner like in Gran Turismo 7. Nitrous, KERS/ERS, push-to-pass, you name it.
Maybe for DLC only?
NO PLEASE
NOS anti lag would be fun, some teams use it
No Nitro. Not. ![]()
Absolutely yes. Its adds another dynamic of strategy in races
If it were to happen, I echo the others in this thread saying it needs to be realistic if it happens. Also, I agree with what @MarsTieger said about how it should only be for certain races, or a restriction variable.
But all of that adds an extra layer of complexity to implementation, which has me leaning towards just flat out saying no. I feel like we have far, far more important things that should be prioritized before a nitrous system, and I’m not just talking about the stuff that I usually bang on about.
I mean, do you really want a nitrous system before we get some more choice when it comes to adjustable aero? Or ballast downgrades like in FM? Or even something simply cosmetic like underglow?
Realistically. You can’t put the nitrous that shoots green flames out the exhaust and regenerates. It would have to be realistic.
