Is there something else wrong with the Titan as well? (performance-wise) My God that car plain sucks. At a stock PI of about B class 680-ish it can barely climb a cross country mountain. Granted the Ford Rapter HE edition comes stock (wheelspin stock tune) at A 800 but it completely obliterates the poor Nissan.
Its the gearing. Put in a race tranny and change the final drive as high as it will go (6.10 I think?) and then play with the individual gears even more. Much more better
it is a sluggish car with tons of torque for towing that is the point of a diesel car. Much more torque but it has low power of 310 HP stock and a very heavy weight of 7000 lbs.
Thanks, while you guys are in an investigative mood, can you take a look into the supercharger whine (or lack therof) on factory supercharged vehicles (coughHellcatcough)?
Without the load, that torque would help get it off the line rather quickly – not supercar quick, but surely not the way it’s set right now. I’m no fan of the truck (I’m a Chevy guy) but I keep my eyes on the competition. Stock, a crew cab like that should be somewhere in the 7 second range for 0-60. You just scratch that if you throw every mod at it in the game. While we’re at it, the Barwin Trophy Truck suffers from similar issues. All the hype in the intro about it being a 800hp rig and it’s a snail out of the box. Both need fixed.
Apologies for necroing this thread, but it’s been almost a year and this still hasn’t been fixed. Are you still investigating it, or have you decided that you’re not going to fix it?
They decided long ago it was never gonna be fixed
It created worse issues when they tried so they left it as it was
Probably been posted a few times in other threads with a similar title
The stock wheels don’t look half bad but I’d expect one of the poster cars of the game to be treated a little better… It’s one of the cars from the slideshow on game startup.
It probably doesn’t bother people much because it’s a lil’ difficult to find good-looking rims for those extreme trucks in the game anyway. Most of them come with unique parts so by installing aftermarket wheels you kinda remove a bit of their charm.
There are other cars with odd issues, too. Dodge Challenger Hellcat has a typo in the data that gives it a 395 wide tire. And the Huayra’s sport weight reduction is better than the race one.
If you read back a few posts you would have seen they are never going to fix it…it caused more problems when they did try so they are leaving it as it is…was announced early on after it was brought to their attention
And the weight gains are far more severe if you also use larger rim sizes and wider tire width. For the heck of it, I installed the heaviest rims, the largest rim size and the widest tire width and my Titan weighed over 18,000 pounds! I then installed all other upgrades that would add weight, and its weight topped out at 18,699 pounds, almost triple its original weight!
I have built the Nissan to A800 and it gets the job done.
Its stats compare well with A800 Raptors (not as good but close).
Yes there is a problem if you change the wheels but other than that I think it is simply the FH3 pi system meaning you need to add power and get the gearing sorted.
EDIT: I used an engine swap. To get best performance in this game always use engine swaps.
