Hi all, I thought I would start a topic with my new replica liveries that I will be doing for the MG Metro 6R4. I don’t know if anyone is interested, but turn 10 contacted me through my site 6r4.net to source a 6R4 for them to photograph for the game. I have put some images from the photo shoot on my flickr account 6r4.net if anyone fancies taking a look
Anyway, I have done alot of liveries for the 6R4 in other games (on PC) but I have started to do some for Horizon 2 now. The first one is of the Computervision 6R4 (Reg - B197 XUD) that was used mainly for testing throughout 1985. I spent some time trying to get the austin rover motorsport helmet logo spot on, but I think there is room for slight improvement but it will have to do for now. I can always update the livery with the newer helmet logo at a later date. I spent a lot of time though making sure I got the correct shade of blue for the car, and think it is spot on.
A second livery I have done is of a 6R4 that was used in Rallycross in 1987, driven by Will Gollop. A lot of people straight away think of the legendary silkolene colour scheme when you mention Will Gollop and the 6R4, but he had a couple of different liveries before that. He even had a plain white 6R4 with a couple of stickers on for his first event with his 6R4.
I am currently working on the livery of a 6R4 driver from the late 80’s called Ian Beveridge. It was a very unusual colour scheme for a 6R4, so thought it would be nice to put it in the game. I am struggling like hell though to get the font of his sponsor correct but I will keep trying to get it as close as I possibly can
I will update with any news on the current, or new liveries soon
