Sorry I’m new to racing on forza and really wanna get good I’m use to oval track on nascar which I’m decent at and can figure out. Road coarser I can’t seem to get braking and turning I try to follow other players and their speed but online I’m not even finishing races and I’m way to slow in the turns and if I try to match ghosts I spinn or drift or sputter tires any advise

Well, you’ve some experience of Forza according you your profile.
Anyway, multiplayer isn’t the place to learn. Just work through career and free play and you’ll get the hang of it. The more laps you do the better you’ll get.
You’ll also need to get to grips with tuning or find a tune you like in order to be competitive once you’ve become more conversant with the tracks.
Three two kinds of players online for the most part. Wreckers and the one percent. Expect a majority of regular online guys to be quite fast.

I agree with recommendation above. Start in career mode. Progress until you can consistently place top 3 in expert. Watch tuning videos or look at tuning guides in the forums. Start right now with manual with clutch…huge difference on most courses. Try rivals and watch replays and then set ghosts that are a second ahead but not more or they will get too far ahead to see what they are doing.
I started from lower classes to get practice if that can help!
Biggest mistake new players make is using 100% controller input for everything. Turning, throttle, and braking are all proportional to how much input you give, so while button mashing might be ok in NFS it won’t work in this game. Trying to drive as fast as you can from the very beginning won’t work either, you need to pace yourself until you can drive consistently around the track without spinning or going off, then increase the pace.

Thanks I have been jumping around classes and most of my forza points from horizon 1 and 3 so motorsport a new mentality
Yup - do some more career - it’ll give you plenty of opportunities to find cars and tunes you like
