If you can do 15 laps at Bathurst in 15 minutes your my new hero. An extra lap or 2 is fine but it’s like they copy/pasted the race length from the endurance hopper.
The top x class time would take 25 minutes with 15 identical laps. An A class race at Bathurst with no pileups would take 40 to 45 minutes. And by the end 80 percent of the lobby would probably drop out. It’s not like people joining the lobby can spectate either.
It seems to only affect clear track races too. 15 at Bathurst and 24 at Lime Rock but night Silverstone was 2 laps and Maple Valley wet was 3 laps.
If it doesn’t work and the hoppers are a flop they will replace it with something else or shorten the laps I’m sure so I wouldn’t worry too much. People should be happy they even put a classed based hopper in the game to moan about.
There’s other hoppers with shorter races and more to come yet.
How much time does it take to complete 1 lap on La Sarthe? 3 minutes? Just a random number, it depends on the class. How many laps? 6.
3x6=18 minutes, AT LEAST. Think about players who just joined the lobby and the race just started. Do you see them waiting AT LEAST 18 minutes in there? Quit lobby->find new lobby->joining a lobby->same lobby as before. Or get in a new lobby with a 24 laps race on lime rock that just started. Good luck with that.
Public lobbies like A class are “quick matches”. Not so quick if you ask me.
I don’t mind players who like longer races. Cool, it’s your thing. I will never have anything to say about it because I respect your opinion. But when you guys have to disrespect users who like short, quick races… yeah that really bugs me.
You guys throw around words like “cry”, “moan” (not to mention that you put us in the same bucket as the wreckers…are you serious?). We’ve been racing in these kinds of lobbies for a very long time. We’re used to that, many of us really like it. And all of the sudden they’re gone.
Yeah I would like to see something you really like and then disappear all of the sudden.
Totally agree. Many times, 2 laps around the ring cleans a lobby out. Depending on the class, that’s an easy 15 min session. Having to wait on one of those is not cool either.
I have no idea what to think…it’s almost like they want the MP to fail.
I haven’t looked at the new hoppers yet(I will tonight), but I don’t see why on earth they can’t just used the old classes…it certainly makes more sense to use them than to have 50 different class hoppers. Just makes no sense…
So home for lunch…checked out the Endurance GT hopper…full simulation damage…race I saw was 18 laps at Watkins Glen…and the series of cars I love! I don’t have time to run a race but I will definitely be at it tonite and all weekend!
I enjoy racing and even with the limited selection of Hoppers available I have had multiple nights of entertainment. Drifters need a Hopper too of course, I don’t think anyone here would argue with you on that.
Also, you said you were leaving and I said goodbye. There is no extra meaning to those 3 letters I responded to you with so don’t bother trying to read between lines that do not exist.
That is really nice …
and for the long races ----> I personally love it ! Many crashkids are the results of too short a race. They think when I kick them now, he does not get me any more …
So as much as I like being able to bring almost anything into the A class we are bound to always have kids with trucks and limos crashing everyone… This is the one good thing about homologation. They added a ghost hopper to the hot hatches which is nice because it focuses more on lap times rather than avoiding crash kids.
I hopped into the Multidivision for a race…that was a total charliefoxtrot…any car and spec…short circuits…1 lap…cosmetic damage…think I’ll pass on that but Endurance GT is where I’ll be most the weekend!
The Rivals events that they added are rubbish too…a few new events, still no proper division boards or class based boards…talk about being minimalist. Im not interested in the new lobbies too…game is still boring as hell, looks like more waiting around then for them to complete the game…
