With the exhaustpipes going out of the hood I’m woundering what is getting so hot down there. 
My bet is on the diff.

It could be the exhaust from under the car and external waste gates from the turbos out the hood
now that i own the new Z that is exactly why the flames come from the hood and under the car. And i have to say i think its the bestdrift car in the game

Y you are right. Have you taken a look under its hood. They really dont do a bad job of recreating these cars
