I noticed that one (and only one) user at TrueAchievements has got both of these. Anyone else picked them up in a way that could work for other players?
People are speculating he could be a tester for PG as he unlocked 2 achievements in the base game all the way back in February of last year.
Would make sense as none of his achievements in the game are timestamped either so they were unlocked offline.

I sent a message there asking how they were unlocked
Just did them today myself. No issues at all, both showed up after 1 race in open custom.

Did them for first time or did you have the accolades done before but they wouldn’t pop automatically like the other ones did ?

First time, both popped up at the end of race screen. Checked in accolades and they’re completed.

I didn’t have the accolades and didn’t get the achievements when I did the races and unlocked the accolades. I’ll do them again, see what happens.

OP is about the achievements for them unlocking, there hasn’t been any issue with the accolades themselves.

Ah, I’m on PC, so I don’t “see” those achievements regularly. I guess I would have to hunt down if I have completed them.

Yep, we caught that a few posts back, game shows them completed for accolades, not the XBox achievements. As I play on PC, and I don’t have the “companion” open when I play, I don’t see those achievements.
