So I got everything done in the Hot Wheels park, but can’t seem to get 1 mission from A-Class that requires you to get to a few locales within 4 mins.
Can anyone advise on a car/tune code to use, I’ve not figured a way to beat the clock and it feels very strange - not sure what I’m doing wrong or if there is a secret ‘faster’ way?
See photo for mission in question… thanks in advance for any help.
Stay on track and set way points may help - I used the outside mostly then followed a turn into the biomes area. The Supra is crazy fast so I wasn’t really thinking.
The only suggestion I have and suspect you are already doing is starting outside the trigger zone to get a good high speed running start to it. Going from memory with no map in front of me (so I may be off and very vague) I started somewhere right of the Falls area and went counter-clockwise (heh, that’s gonna confuse the digital kids…), no offroad for this one as I recall. Likewise I don’t think I picked any special tuned car, just some decent A800. And of course don’t be shy about using rewind if needed to keep a clean line. As easy as it is to just ride the wall and pinball around much of HW Land for these things it does slow you down a bit
If I’m on later I’ll have a look again and see if it jogs any more specific memories re route etc. Good luck !
EDIT : Having a look at the map I don’t think it was counter clockwise after all but I can’t see any route that looks familiar. Sorry, not much help.
Have you pinned the event so that it shows you when each element is ticked off? What the game classes as being each area isn’t too clear and I ended up having a bit of trial and error to figure out what was required to get to each waypoint. Once I’d done that though, there’s stacks of time to get to all three.
I used a 1969 mustang on vintage race tires with plenty of time to spare. It was finicky in getting the starting point recognized so pinning it and ensuring that the start point is checked is important. It seemed like I had to be quite a bit inside the biome but the timer didn’t start until getting to the edge. Then way points helped getting the route. The 1969 tune is shared as is a 65 Mustang on vintage race tires. I think it’s more about getting the starting point recognized.
I completed the Park Tour in Boneshaker using my own tune with about a minute to spare. Get a running start and go clockwise around the outside tracks. Counterclockwise is much slower.
Having had a look at the map I think I must have misremembered doing it counter clockwise. But I’m darned if I can remember or see the route I took through that spaghetti in either direction lol.
You can do that in any car, it is a straight line to the first, then turn around, and do a straight line to the end. You have about 30 seconds to spare. I went the wrong way, turned around, and still had ages to spare. I didn’t go round the edges, I went through the middle. Straight down, turn left, then the last on is behind you on a straight road.
For that one, can you start at the edge of Forest Falls, drive to the hub and into Giant’s Canyon, and then pull a 180 and drive straight to Ice Cauldron? I don’t remember for sure, but I feel like that’s how I did it, and I had plenty of time to spare.
I used the routing function for it.
First planned from forest falls to Grand Canyon. (I started faaar left, don‘t worry, the timer will only begin when you passed the start location. When you pin the accolade, it will tick off the start point once you pass it.)
When I reached the end of the first leg (and second point was checked), I paused, went into the map and set a new route into the cauldron.
Some hard turns at the entry to the ice island in it, but at the end there was sufficient time left (do not remember how much, maybe 20seconds).
As a car I drove a Mercedes AMG Coupe, RWD.
