Need help on vertical shots

Does anyone know how to get the photos to orient themselves properly?
I rotate them before uploading to Flickr, but they still show up sideways once posted up here.

For example:

I’ve seen it done. All I need is for the photos to actually display on the forums the way I uploaded them to Flickr.
All suggestions are welcome, kind of lost at this point.

If you rotate the file itself, then upload it to Flickr, that should solve the issue for you.

You can also rotate within Flickr’s uploader, which always works for me

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

-Opening photo in windows photo viewer and rotating.
-Right clicking and rotating the file itself.
-Editing in Flickr and rotating.
-Rotating the picture the wrong way on purpose to see if anything changes, nope.

Edit: If you right click the photo above and open in a new tab you will see that it is rotated the right way.

Put the photo into flikr upload it as it comes off your gallery. When you upload to flikr DO NOT HIT EDIT stay in the upload screen and in the corner of the picture you will see the flip button, click it until it’s the way you want it then hit upload… don’t leave the upload screen. This is how I do all my shots and when you right click on mine they come out right side up.

Tried it this way, even with a different photo, still no luck :frowning:

This is a mystery …

Ya I’m pretty bummed out about it, would really like for them to show up correctly.

Definitely something funny going on here, I looked in here yesterday and both of those shots were showing vertical and I thought “whats the problem?”
now I come back today and they are both the wrong way…
unfortunately I don’t think I can offer any help

Do you copy the bb code from flickr or do you select the address and add the yourself?
and what size are you sharing them at original/large etc?

For me, the first shot is verticals on my phone, but not on the PC. The second photo is horizontal on both phone and PC.

Your image, Original version (EXIF/ Orientation: Rotate 270 CW):

So the trick is to post the large version, not original? Interesting.
