My Thrustmaster TX experiance.

Had the same exact problem with my wheel and had to request a new base from Thrustmaster, however, this is a process. It took approx. two weeks before I was able to have them send me out a new base. My second wheel came with an external power supply and worked flawlessly up until I sold it. Good luck with yours!

Thanks ShadoChaser! How long did you have your fixed wheel base for before you sold it? I’m not sure I can wait a couple of weeks since I had it less than a month and only put a few hours a week on it. I’ll probably ask for my $$ back from the place I purchased it from and save up $$ for a Fanatec. I read it’s going to be cross platform so might be worth the extra $$. What to do, what to do!!!

The second wheel base held up well for several months before I decided to sell it. It was still working perfectly when I got rid of it. Just didn’t have the space and needed some extra cash at that time. I did however, just purchase the TM 458 Spider wheel that doesn’t have any feedback and so far, I’m really liking it. It works well, just a little more difficult to adjust to without any FFB. I really have to listen to the car more to see what it’s doing. I too though am waiting to see what Fanatec brings to the table before I jump up to a FFB wheel again, but for the time I had the TX wheel, it was really nice.

this wheel is a piece of crap! right from day 1 have had connection issues with xbox one, always works perfectly with computer ,have many emails with thrustmaster about it and now it’s off warranty and will no longer work on the xbox at all but still works fine on the computer, thrustmaster says probably need a new main board and now no warranty and will cost over$200 to fix it so i guess the story hear is DON’T Buy this wheel as it is a piece of crap… will be buying the new logitech wheel for xbox and would advise anyone else to do the same.

I’m just adding, I purchased a 2nd hand one had it a week and it has just stopped working completely.
The USB connector lead had been spliced but I was told it was to lengthen the wire. I had no idea it had a connector in line from new.
I have checked the power supply and can not get an output voltage. So do not know if that is the problem or not.
Seems to be a very unreliable piece of kit and for £250 + price tag. Not a price to pay for poor quality item.
Just glad I never paid full money for it.
was great while it worked.

Well a quick update on my experiences with this wheel setup.
Purchased another brand new only to receive it DOA.
Got refunded.
Purchased a 3rd secondhand but told it was a USB lead problem.
Wrong completely dead again.
These wheels are an absolute hit or miss for a good one. There are loads of just wheels alone for sale so what does that tell you.
I have not yet given up on finding one that works but my Bank balance is certainly paying the price for my faith (stupidity) in hoping I can find a good one.
