To start off, this is my first post on these forums full stop and would like to start of by saying, I am a gran turismo boy, born and bread, however, I have played previous Forza Games and thoroughly enjoyed them but at the time, I felt Gran Turismo was more fun, I can’t say why, I just found it more fun, Like Gran Turismo 3 and 4 to a degree and the last Forza game I played was Forza 4, which I think was a fantastic game, from what I played of it and recently have bought and Xbox One X and Forza Motorsport and Horizon 3 and super hyped, I love what I have been seeing up to now and can’t wait to get to grips with some racing, one tiny little sticking point is the forcing of the Homogilation system, I recently read in the Doritos car pack I think, that the time length of races could be changed at will and thought, why can’t the Homogilation system be turned on or off at will as well, I would like to stress at this point with out blowing smoke up my own behind, I am no newbie to racing games period and have passed all tests and missions gold in GT3/4, I consider this an achievement in racing game terms also added to the fact I race with manual transmission and so do not want to just race with the Homogilation system of indefinetely, I think some races would be better suited having it on and I will most defintely enjoy it, forcing me to use my semi skilled knowledge of cars to squeek any last milliseconds from the laps, asjust gear ratio’s (If Possible), brake Bias’ etc etc etc so I will defintely enjoy the tactical side of it, forcing me to think for myself how best to get the maximum out of the equipment I choose.
I would like to add as a side not, or rather side idea, will we have classes in times races like the 24 hours of le mans?
I am like I said, massively looking foward to this and am now viewing this franchise as far more fun than Gran Turismo, all I can really say is GTSport looks very pretty but doesn’t look fun, I can’t pass full judgment on it as I haven’t played it but can for the first time in a long time say I prefer Forza.
