I really enjoy the menu music! It was a daring move but I feel it brings more passion and elegance to the franchise. When you play for a period of time tuning and viewing the car models the different compositions are really nice. I personally don’t like any music when I’m racing regardless of the genre, I rather hear the sound effects of the race.
I assume they were trying to make the experience classy and elegant, but the music doesn’t match the game. I guess if you like expensive cars, you should like going to the opera. This music fits the game as much as death metal music in a Barbie game. There was nothing wrong with FM3 and FM4 menu music.
The music depresses me. It fits Forza like dubstep fits a funeral.
Some like only the sound of the car, others like to have proper music and some like the current music. All we all need is a choice.
The music really annoys me too. It’s so bad it would have been a deal breaker to the point where I’d maybe rather’d gotten an X1 at a later date. It needs some hardcore rasta sensi techno. Everybody would be happy. I’d much rather listen to Aries than the morbid tracks of Forza 5. A music update or DLC with Race Track DLC would be brilliant, but it is not a perfect world.
Turn the music off, i hate music on racing games
I really miss the ambient electronic and instrumental music from Forza 3 and Forza 4, I just can’t get into the menu music for FM5 and sometimes it just becomes annoying and takes away from the experience as a whole.
Music such as these pieces from the last two games should be used as examples to bring back what was once pleasing.
FM3-Dialed In
FM3-Elapsed Time
FM4-Paris Rouen
Dialled in is EPIC!
I totally agree! Forza 5’s menu music is pretty good in my opinion but I loved Forza 4’s the most! It was so chillax… my absolute favorite track by far in Forza 4 is Legendary Ratio ^^
When I first heard the music I was surprised but now I actually think the music does suit the game…and not I am not saying they are both bad lol
I didn’t expect much in the way of music from Forza because the xbox had been toted as a unifying force in the living room. Apparently they didn’t think that meant accessing NAS drives(Drobo in my case), on the network and playing music was all that important. /facepalm…
