I get ‘Failed to find a game session’ or similar every single time i try to join any hopper, for the past 3 days now… it was working before that. Nothing configuration-wise has changed on my end, and the xbox app shows a good connection and services available (no teredo type errors) i have also tried the steps mentioned above to no avail.
----EDIT
I hope this helps someone in a similar situation. There are no warning dialogs, no indications either in-game or by windows’ microsoft store regarding this, but if you’re having these issues it may be because your game is out of date. check ms store, in my case it had an error indicating i had to free up 96GB ish (the size of the game) in order for it to update. Well, i used windirstat to check out what was taking up the most space on my ssd to see if there was anything I could free up - it turns out there was; 2 copies of the game in the WindowsApps folder - it had 2 different versions there, both taking up between 94 and 98 gb each. So I deleted the older version directory in its entirety, then went back to MS store and told it to update. Once completed, I now can join multiplayer matches.

I am having the same issue on my Xbox One S. I am unable to find a solution to receify it as all these are for windows 10. Can anybody help me.
Thanks.
I uninstalled Killer Network Control app that came with my motherboard LAN and multiplayer worked instantly.
Was this on a Alienware laptop? I have tried everything suggested here and the best I can get is Nat type moderate but server connectivity as “blocked”…
Any help would be appreciated!!
Windows and turn 10, please find a solution to this!! If online doesn’t work, then Forza 7 is certainly not worth all the money I paid for it… And I doubt I’ll be buying Forza 8 if this doesn’t get fixed for me. I’m a huge Forza fan, but this will be a deal breaker for me going forward!
Last night I wasn’t able to join a lobby, it was saying unable to connect with the server. So I took the disk out and put in Forza 6. Problem solved, I was able to join right away with no weak connection or
whatever. Great improvement “Forza 7” over the previous title am I right? I guess it’s F7 for single player and F6 for multiplayer…
I’ve tried all of these things to fix the failed to acquire server data and still dosen’t work and don’t know what to do?
Can someone please help me…

but you still get server connection failiure in FM7 ?
thanks in advance
I’ve tried everything on this thread and it resolved an issue of sluggishness I was seeing only in multiplayer menus. However the basic problem still remains… I can join a lobby just fine, I see other players in the lobby and can even hear them talking. However when the race starts, I’m just stuck in the menus. I see the intermission at the top, then something along the lines of “waiting for cars” and then the race begins and I’m still in the menu… Help.
EDIT: Not sure what I did differently from a minute ago… but its working now… THANKS ALL!. Shhh… it might hear my excitement and stop working again… shhh…
i ended up resetting windows 10 yesterday
i was so tired of googling at this point
after reset everything works great
i have no problem playing forza 7 online now
use reset as last resort
after you have tried everything you can possibly try is my advice
because
BE AWARE that you have to download Microsoft games again after reset
at least I had to, even all my games is installed on a secondary drive
best of luck
