Multiplayer Issues

I am able to access the multiplayer screen but when I try to join a hopper is just gets stuck at the waiting for match loading screen and never actually finds a match. I’ve had the game since launch and this has never happened to me before. I’ve tried quitting and restarting the game as well as a full reboot of the console, still not working. Any suggestions?

Given there have been server issues and given that they have seemed more difficult for the relevant people to fix than previously I would suggest assume it is a server issue and try again later.

If you have done a cold reboot and have open NAT there is not much more you can do.

I checked my network settings and I do have open NAT so I know that’s not the issue. I thought they resolved the server issues from this past weekend but maybe not.

Have you tried going into XB1’s network settings and running through the various tests?

I’ve had connectivity issues at times when all my gear seemed to be in order. For some reason, running through the tests sometimes fixed things. As though you have to remind the XB1 that, yes, you have a connection, and, yes, it works.

Figured it couldn’t hurt to try so I just finished running through all the tests, everything checks out properly and just as before I can start multiplayer but once I search for a match it never finds one. Just says waiting for match and seems to get stuck there. I am able to do rivals and view leaderboards just fine however.

I’m having the same problem being stuck on waiting for match as well, did the same test everything is good still nothing.

I have found various xbox live activities that rely on servers excrutiatingly slow in the last week.

Ranging from download speed for updates, long connect times to servers in various games, more laggy gaming than normal (multiple games).

My connection speed using my usual test programs (outside of the console) test fine.

Tonight I will run the connection speed test on the console.

I think the xbox live servers have hit a bump in the road.

Didn’t XB1 launch in a bunch of other markets last week? That might have something to do with it.

i noticed the weekend after forza 5 failure of servers that my 360 and xbox one went both to nat type strict and had a service alert for matchmaking on the 360 so i guess as satnite says that xbox live is having hiccups at the moment

The other thing I have wondered given problems I have been having partying up with friends is if they have changed the ports needed to be forwarded.

I will look into that and post my findings.

i was in party chat yesterday on cod ghosts and we could here the whole game chat im not sure if its suppossed to be that way as i havent been on there for a whilst due to me being on forza all time

I don’t know if the list of ports has changed or not but the ports needed to be forwarded for xbox live on the xbox one are on the page linked below.

Finding a match is slower than usual today but I am at least able to get into a lobby.

Can someone from T10 address this issue to the forum?

This continues to be an on going problem. Thanks.

I second this. I have been unable to connect for the past few weeks. It continues to say “waiting for match”, for hours, for days, and it never connects.
