Gran Turismo 7 has 2 Championships in Multiplayer called the Manufactures Cup and the Nations Cup. It would be really cool and exciting if Forza Motorsport would bring/introduce championships very similar to Gran Turismo 7 or like Imsa and WEC. This would provide some great competitive races, Introduce something else to do in Multiplayer, and improve the Game of Life.
I’m a gamer who spends a lot of time in multiplayer. I was thinking, since I haven’t had the incentive to win in a while, why don’t you add a championship type mode? Let me explain better, like 4-5 races with the same lobby and a scoring system by finishing position; the timed trials are only done at the beginning of the first race and then we continue with the points… what do you think?
Yes. I don’t really dislike what we have now at all. But, it is monotonous and lacks any depth or connection from race to race.
I’m fairly new to the game but I don’t get why there is no form of championship or even rankings in the multiplayer.I’m sure it would make the game at least 3x more exciting and bring new people in.
Yes definitely, but the game is still struggling with connectivity issues and the whole story with the skill and safety rating. I think they still have some basic fixing work to do before the bring out a big multiplayer update.
yea i dont think we will ever get a championship in forza…devs dont think care
With the announcement of Fujimi Kaido, I think now is the perfect time to take advantage of the influx of returning players. It can be a trial/exhibition Series. Or at least a strong improvement in the matchmaking to making races more competitive.
Forza Motorsport national and world championships should be a yearly event…
I’d like to suggest adding organized tournaments and championship events to the online racing experience. These would not only provide players with a long-term competitive goal but also deepen the sense of immersion and progression within the game.
For example, you could introduce officially titled series such as:
- Forza GT3 Cup
- Forza GT2 Championship
- Forza Motorsport Endurance Series
- Forza Touring Car World Challenge
Each series could mirror real-world motorsport formats, giving players a taste of professional racing structure. These tournaments might include multiple stages, such as qualifying rounds, semi-finals, and a grand finale. You could even incorporate a points-based season system, where players accumulate standings over several weeks—similar to Formula 1 or the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.
Championship Duration and Format:
Ideally, a full championship should run over a set period—say, 6 to 8 weeks—with a race scheduled every weekend or twice a week. This gives players time to prepare, tune their cars, and participate without being overwhelmed by a packed calendar.
Each race event could represent a different real-world circuit or themed track rotation (e.g., European circuits, night races, or wet weather challenges). Weekly leaderboards would display player standings, and the top performers could qualify for an exclusive grand final streamed in-game or via official channels.
Rewards and Recognition:
To keep motivation high, offer exclusive in-game rewards for participation and performance. These could include:
- Unique liveries and car badges
- Limited-time vehicles
- Custom race suits and cosmetic upgrades
- Placement on a Hall of Fame leaderboard
You could even introduce seasonal championships, where players can progress through tiers—such as Club, Semi-Pro, Pro, and Elite—based on past performance, ensuring competitive matchmaking and a dynamic, rewarding ecosystem.
By introducing a structured championship system, Forza Motorsport could create a richer, more meaningful online experience, encouraging both casual racers and competitive drivers to stay engaged and invested in the long term.
I agree. Also in offline mode too. Career mode is okay, but it would be cool to design a championship like you can in the formula 1 game for example.
Simply choose tracks, choose a division, choose the rules, and good to go.
Good idea,
I would like one player can make one championship and share it in multiplayer mode.
