Hi FH4 Devs,
Generally speaking, I’m enjoying the game. North England/Scotland is beautiful, and the seasons are playing out nicely, though I wouldn’t mind if they took longer than a week to switch…but that’s neither here nor there.
A couple frustrations about Team Races:
-I’m seeing Street Racing pop a lot. Street Racing is fine and all, in many ways, it is more challenging because there’s no walls to ride…but this also means there’s chaos at ever hard turn…which again is fine. But, I don’t particularly enjoy Street Racing…I don’t love racing at night, don’t love the random car spawns. I could do without. But, there’s no way for me to influence/choose what sort of racing I’d like to do. I think there’s been plenty said on these forums about the lack of perceived control we have over the type of online adventure we are participating in. I’d like something that is more robust than the FH3 system…rather than less, which is what the new system feels like.
-B, C, D classes. These just don’t exist anymore. Not everyone loves them, that’s true…but I always enjoyed having the option to play the lower classes in an online adventure. There are cars I don’t want to have to add 1 million horsepower to just to race. It’s a personal preference for sure, but I’d love to see an option to have these guys back at some point.
-Damage racing & Team Adventures. I think it’s been said enough on this forum that there should be options here. I’m tired of getting rammed off checkpoints isn’t really fun…and is a surefire way to get me to stop racing online…and it seems to happen in every race. Team Adventures are fine, but what happened to solo?
-A couple of bugs that I’m seeing: I’ve gone upside down now twice and the system isn’t resetting me. I’ve seen it happen to others. Nothing is less enjoyable than watching a race take place around you while you spend it upside down and intangible. Same thing is true for getting caught on rocks.
-I missed a checkpoint this morning and went back to pick it up…and nothing. The countdown timer just kept resetting after one, and I was effectively out of the race.
Keep up the good work…I’ll keep playing as long as you keep working on it, because I love playing with my cars!
