More DLC?

They do sell DLC packs until a new Forza title launches, so you will most likely get DLC packs until this September then Forza Horizon 3 launches and then we get DLC packs there until a new Forza title gets released (Forza Motorsport 7).

Excited to see all the last DLC packs.

I have to disagree about the lack of no interest. Both drag and drift each have quite a large community presence even without much in game support. Forza “Motorsport” is the name of the game. Drag racing is some of the oldest and most popular forms of racing and drifting is blowing up in popularity all over the world.

In my opinion, if Turn 10 wanted to extend the life of Forza 6, bring out some DLC that represents more forms of racing. I’d even enjoy an actual Rally DLC that was Motorsport not Horizon. I think is that would be a better idea than rush to push out forza 7. They could throw in some important cars from each type, drag and drift. Proper upgrades and some tracks meant for each.

I believe you misunderstood the previous post. Turn 10 is ignoring the drifting and drag racing portions of FM6, where there is player interest but lack of response from the Community Team or the developers. But, then, those sections are receiving equal treatment with all the other in-game issues, too.

What’s up Snowowl?! I hope things are good today for you and yours! Possibly a misunderstanding, no offense was taken by me. I simply was saying that IF they were to throw out any more DLC, showing a little love to those 2 forms of motorsport would, again in my opinion, bring in a whole new wave of players. Theres no other game that could pull it off like they could. Regardless, it’s just wishful thinking on my part. Can’t blame me for wishing though.

There’s talk of it becoming a 3 yr cycle
Forza 7 might not come till 2018
With something new being introduced next year
Hope not though

I’d quite like that. In conversations with friends I’ve said many times that we should only have two Motorsport titles per console life cycle. There’s so much potential for expansions that Turn 10 isn’t capitalizing on. I’m sick of a new Motorsport game coming out every two years when they’re essentially the same game, but with different physics and graphics. Forza has become the Call of Duty of racing games; excellent games, but there’s too much copy/pasting going on.

You mean to tell me they couldn’t continue adding stuff to FM6 rather than releasing FM7 in one year? I won’t list anything specifically for the sake of not getting wishlisty, but there are sooo many cars, tracks, and features that could be added to FM6 rather than making another game. I mean, are you guys already bored of FM6’s physics and graphics? If not, we don’t need FM7 yet, just add more to 6.

The problem (I think) is that running a gaming company costs A LOT of money, and releasing DLC doesn’t provide anywhere near the kinds of profits that releasing another game does. If Turn 10 didn’t constantly release new games they’d eventually go bankrupt. After all, they aren’t getting GTA V-like profits every iteration.

If that is the case then id hope for at least 1 more expansion for forza 6 and a major update that will address the free play issues. That should help keep longevity for forza 6 until 7.

With Scorpio scheduled for a 2017 Holiday release it’d make sense (and sync in with FM 2 year cycle) to have FM7 come out as the launch title for Xbox Scorpio, which would be a next gen FM game. Now if that comes out compatible with a VR headset, that would be pretty sweet! (and expensive!)

As for further FM6 DLC content, I’d imagine we’ve come to the end of that (perhaps a few gift cars and updates here and there) but looking at FM4 to FH1, and FM5 to FH2 pattern, the DLC stopped on FM4 and FM5 after 12 months as the priority then went to Horizon’s, and as FH3 is coming out soon then it’s FM6’s turn to have its DLC come to an end.

There are too many cars that have debuted between Forza 6’s release and now that should be in the game before the current DLC cycle ends. Putting these cars into Horizon 3, while certainly welcomed, would be doing some of them a disservice, since some are effectively street-legal track machines and should be in a track-focused Forza game.

As for the unicorns…I once again pose the two-part question. Will there be another driving opportunity to get these cars? Because as utterly pants-on-head stupid as the Rolls Royce Triton challenge was, it was still a competition based on skill. And why not just put these cars into an end-of-life DLC pack and be done with it?

They also do dlcs for 1 year after the games released so I know they will have more at least for the next few months.

Any news on the July DLC car pack yet?

Probably not even getting one sadly. But if we are news usually flys out around lunchtime or early afternoon

If we were to get any news today, it would come in the form of a clue thread. I haven’t seen one yet, but keep your eyes peeled.

If we don’t, the next time we’d hear about it would be at DLC launch on Tuesday.

Otherwise I wouldn’t hold your breath on any more FM6 DLC.
