While FM5 lacked a number of things the Monthly Rivals were always updated at the start of the month. This made me load up the game more often and got me out of the paint booth. At least one event per discipline (circuit, drift and drag). This was also the same in FM4. With new DLC cars and tracks there were even more events added to the Rivals. 4 - 6 different events a month sometimes with the addition of a special comp event plus at least 4 for VIP’s. This to me kept FM5 alive till the release of FM6. Avoid the wreckers in public lobbies, a way to challenge your mates without the need to set up an online session and a fresh challenge every month.
Now we see almost nothing… The other month we had one event required you to have the a VIP car, this should have been in the VIP Monthly. Right now there is 2 events that have been there 2 DLC’s ago and 2 events not available to many players. A comp to win a car that is now over and another for French speaking players.
As a member of an Aussie Forza community we have been running our own fortnightly Time Attack to keep the off-line side of the game alive between our race series.
The uniqueness of the Monthly Rival events made you buy that odd car you never thought you would add to your garage. A specific build or just stock. Created more unique Leaderboard cars that may never had made it on track and with that more tunes/builds and liveries. The community needs it. 3 months into a 2 year cycle and racers are finding other games to play…

Don’t worry guys once the $£25 Porsche DLC is out I’m sure the rivals will be Updated!
But yea I miss monthly rivals. And ABCS… And cycled prod…But I’m not mad. I’m not angry.

I think RBW Triton (who maintains the Leagues) has also taken over all of the Multiplayer/Rivals work that Phred used to do. Must be a busy guy…

It would be nice. Rivals mode is one of my favourite parts of the game, it’s sad to see it neglected. What’s the betting that the ‘monthly’ part of the name disappears in FM7?

My guess they’re probably holding out for corporate sponsorship of rivals events… Something like “The BC Powder Bone Stock Vandura Headache Ring Challenge”

Unique Monthly rivals’ challenges are the entire reason I play Forza and the reason I pay for VIP is for more rivals. We’ve only had 1 challenge since launch the B at Bathurst.
It’s inexcusable too; Unless the folks at Turn 10 are complete idiots, they should be very easy to add.
It’s ridiculous, if I could return this “Ultimate Edition” I would; I haven’t been this disappointed by a game since 5.

It’s been over 2 months now since an update to Monthly and VIP. Since launch, only one challenge for tuners; the B-class Classic Compact.
Rivals is where I spend 99% of my game time since 4, so I’m very disappointed to see them neglected. I keep logging in weekly to check but nothing and no word form Turn 10 : (

Yeah they should give us our money back for vip. What an absolute joke this game is.

Gotta say that Im pretty dissapointed with the VIP rivals this year. So far we havent had any new VIP rival races since the game launched, this was the main reason I purchased this edition of the game & to be honest I now expect my money back for this feature!
Any info from Turn10 about this?

They have been silent on the issue so far. This was also brought up in another thread. The thread was basically asking what happened to the “monthly rivals”. It’s unfortunate but we live and learn, no more ultimate editions of Turn 10 games for me. Been VIP since they started offering it, never again! Money talks, they will hear us on their next release for sure!
