Min, meet max achievement

Hello,

Is anyone from playground games able to confirm what is actually required for this achievement, as there is some degree of confusion due to there being 2 different descriptions for it depending what device you are viewing it on?.

Is it all season championships in a series?

Is it all events in a series?

Or is it something else, like all points in a series? Or all events and challenges in a series? Or max points in a series?

Does everything in the playlist need to be completed including like the daily challenges?

Thank you.

Update: this is unlockable during the welcome week by attaining 38 points. If you’re reading this after 11th November 2021, then refer to the original solution below

Note, the description of the achievement on the Xbox is “Complete all Seasonal Championships in a Festival Playlist Series”, which appears to be incorrect.

Series 1 begins on 11th November, so this shouldn’t be unlockable until 4 weeks after this date (sometime in December) at the earliest, as a Series refers to the four seasons each lasting 1 week (with the welcome week not counting as part of a series). Then you have to complete all activities in each of the 4 seasons. Also worth noting that this must be done in a single Festival Playlist Series, so you can’t do Winter and Spring from Series 1 and then Summer and Autumn from Series 2 - all 4 seasons must be completed within the same Series.

To be extra clear - by all events I mean every single activity that gives you points in a Festival Playlist Series. This includes the Trial, which cannot be played until you reach the Horizon Hall of Fame (200,000 accolade points).

Fafibo,
Thanks for the details, this does need clarification on one part. You mentioned it accounts for everything that yields points. Does this mean you do NOT have to purchase the advertised car in the Forzathon shop? Its technically on the playlist, but doesn’t give points. I just want to make sure this isn’t required before attempting a 92 part achievement that is technically deemed “miss-able”.

Thanks,

Fafibo, thanks for that but you just cut and pasted that from the True Achievements solution, which, however useful, is just speculation as to what the achievement requires.

Playground games: please confirm.

Hi, this is not speculation. For me, the achievement was only unlocked after each individual activity was completed. The pre-series only consists of a week. The current series consists of 4 weeks

Arcade events shouldn’t count for this achievements since servers are a total mess…

I’d like to have a serious discussion on the “Min Meet Max” achievement to hopefully bring some light to any current confusion and to possibly bring some attention to issues with this achievement. Its a long shot, but would be nice for a dev/team to see this from a player perspective since this achievement has already been updated once.

The 100+ part elephant on the achievement list, “Min Meet Max”

I’m all for long grindy achievements but this one has some serious issues. As it stands this achievement is-
-Multi Part (100+ requirements)
-Time Gated (Can only be complete from first week/season of a series)
-Missable (If you miss any challenge in a season, you have to wait for a whole new series to start over. This can also be impacted by the state of the game).

Why? I don’t believe there has been an achievement with this many requirements and restrictions before. Before we start a debate on “difficult achievements” I’m talking about requirements listed above that are also impacted outside of player skill/abilities.

The 100+ part seems demanding, but does it have to be miss-able through time gating? This is something that becomes a bigger issue based on the state of the game, along with xbox live services. Achievement gives 7 days to complete a list of challenges that include Horizon Arcade and Eliminator.

-Horizon Arcade. Issues have been listed off multiple times on the forums. The game just doesn’t do its job to match players to do this together. (Needs to be completed 4 times. 4 times for issues to arise)
-Eliminator. This another heap of bugs. I’ve been thrown into matches with players I can’t see on screen or map. There are issues with challenging other players hindering progression to better/upgraded cars. (Again, Needs to be completed 4 times just like Arcade).
-Game Issues. I’ve already had to restart my game multiple times for accolades/achievements to register. There is no way to check to make sure the game has saved progress towards this achievement.
-Xbox Live services. How many times have we heard the “Power off your Xbox and unplug it, wait then restart” to see if an achievement unlocks. If individual achievements have issues with tracking, its a gamble trying to attempt this achievement hoping that each season completion gets recorded.

Possible Solution to this would be utilizing Accolades.
This could still be time gated/missable without the harsh punishment in its current state. There could be a season accolade where you have to complete 4 seasons in any order. If missed, player just has to wait till that season comes back around rather than needing to wait for a new series to start to redo efforts already made.

Thoughts?

Playground games please please please tell us that CHALLENGES are not to be included in “complete all season events for a single series”.

There is what looks to be a challenge in the 3rd season to “eliminate 2 players in a single eliminator round”.please tell me this is not going to stop me from getting this achievement because I can do everything else, but I could play 40 hours of eliminator and still not do this.

…and this is not even bringing up the horrendous arcade: mission impossible .situation.

So,

Are challenges being counted as events?

Is it events only?

Is it points based? I.e. get full points per season and/or series.

Please tell us otherwise it could be 20, 30, 40, 50 hours spent and still no completion for the achievement!

Tell us tell us tell us tell us.

Please pretty please.

There I have asked nicely, haven’t I?

As far as I know (and I have done this achievment already in the first week) you only need to get more points that are needed to complete the weekly schedule to 100%. This week for example I will be 1 point short as I am missing the arcade (worth 3 points) and the steeling a crown challenge (worth 2 points).

Getting 3 points more than needed in the first week between the prerelease and the official start of the game gives me not only the achievment, but a headstart of these three additional points for the next weekly challenge.

So doing more than needed will give you some space for choosing the weekly challenges you like or that are at least seem to be doable.

Steeling the crown or doing a arcade challenge over three rounds do not work for me as I found never enough player to fulfill these quests.

Its been posted that ALL objectives that yield points need to be completed. The first week was a special event that counted for a “playlist series”. From that point on a Playlist series includes 4 seasons and requires players to complete Forzathon Events, Season Events, Challenges, and Monthly events. All of these make up a Festival Playlist Series. Key word being the Series.

Thats why I posted this achievement is far too demanding with the current state of the game. It has too many parts, time gated, and missable.

Unless you obtained this the first week, the requirements have been quadrupled.

so basically i’m screwed because i did all of the expeditions and story events before week 2 so i couldnt get the two daily quests that each give a point?

well i guess i’ll have to start over and hope they dont throw any more broken challenges into the season just so i can get the achievement. right now i’m at 900/1000 and all i need to do is win an eliminator and play the waiting game to unlock the remaining achievements. oh yeah and do all of those forzathons, but i’ve pretty much accepted that i wont do that because theyve wrecked the forzathons so badly this year that nobody wants to do them.

they need to fix this in a patch and give us the achievement for completing their broken season based on 100% of the season points. that way if we missed one or two of the challenges we’ll still be alright. even if we spent all week playing crickets chirping simulator inside of the forzathon circles for every 15 minutes of the week just hoping for people to show up to get one of those stupid forzathons done. i dont want to have to go through that again, and i shouldnt have to be punished just for playing the game and finishing all the expeditions and story missions before week 2 of the season. i mean come on.

Yea we’re basically screwed. The Forza Arcade is a disaster trying to get people to play on top of challenges that you can’t complete if you beat the main game. We are entering the last season for this series and there hasn’t been any patch or anyone who acknowledged these issues. This just may end up being an impossible achievement if you didn’t get it in the welcome series.

If it was up to me then getting both cars would be the end of a season. So you get both cars 4 times, and you complete 100%, and you can do it any way you like. But do PG think like me?

I don’t know - I never get the points for Forza Arcade as there always not enough players around. Last week I have done anything else but Arcade. These week I could not get any more points than being three points short as the two daily challenges (Doing an expedition & Doing a story) do not work for those, who already has done them. That are points missing plus two points steeling a crown and three points for Arcade.

All I know is that I got this achievement after doing an eliminator session on the 9th of november.

And for Forza Horizon 4 there was some kind of the same achievement available, where you had to get 100% for all four weeks of a season.

Do we need to do all 7 dailies each week for the achievement? I’m over the score for each season but have missed a few dailies since they’re bugged.

Nobody knows yet.

People on True Achievements are saying you just need 247 points, so you can miss other stuff out.

edit - I got it. I’m on 51/61 for this season. Previously done everything in the series except the unobtainable expedition daily.

i was at 250/247 for the season and it didnt unlock. then i finished my last racing series and it popped after the last race. i’m now sitting at 255/247 in the series and oddly enough, 59/61 in the spring season

so i dont think the 247/247 is the requirement. you seem to gotta do all the races and stuff too. i believe the only thing that dont count towards it are the dailies. i could be wrong though. and maybe those two glitched daily events really did work towards the achievement, despite not visually unlocking in the season and giviing you the extra points?

nonetheless im glad thats over and done wiith. just need to wait however many more weeks to get the smashables achievement, and then win an eliminator. then the only one ill have left is the one where you need to win round 3 inn all the types of forthazon arcade events. theres no way im ever going to put myself through that again unless they revert the system back to last years and only have 1 event per hour, and 15 minutes to do it in. its impossible for 2 or 3 people do do most of these events in just 10 minutes, and there is nothing enjoyable at all the way it is right now. i had a more enjoyable experience winning an eliminator last year in a level 1 car, and ii got a better chance of doing that again than ever nabbing this achievement

All I know is that I haven’t done the Arcade event this season yet (and now I don’t have to, hooray!) or one of the seasonal championships. I’ve done everything else. My 247 (or 248) is in part because of all the previous dailies I did.

alright i got the achievement. i finished everything except for the expedition and story chapter dailies that were glitched and it popped

its safe to say that the dailies dont count towards this achievement
