5.0L V8 pushing out 600 Horsepower on 850kg a monster
This car was Banned from Le Mans, And was not complying for group 5 regulations but could Participate in Group C. It was on track to run at the 1982 24 hours of Le Mans and did testing at the Michelin testing site where it was on pace with Formula 2 cars. But Hans wasn’t wanting to run the car but to have factory teams adopt the car but Mercedes Blocked that idea. There were plans to bump up the horsepower to 800 but interest died off.
