I think we want the pre-facelift RX-8 back. Also, include the standard 2006 RX-8 (known as Type S in Japan)

We’ve got the facelift currently, we used to have the Mazdaspeed, but how about bringing the latter back together with a standard pre-facelift model? Just look at this thing, it looks so neat.

2005 Mazda RX-8 Shinka Special Edition (for FH5)

Specs:

• One of 1,357 made for the US market only
• Power comes from Mazda’s 1.3L rotary 2 engine, making 197 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque, with a RWD layout mated to a choice of a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual (I prefer the automatic)
• 0-60 in under 6 seconds, with a top speed of 144 mph
