No mention as to who this contest is open to?
Like most previous contest will be US based people only.
Can anyone from T10 confirm eligibility or regions this is open too?? As the links to rules on FB i’ve seen don’t work.

Thanks

US Only. @MazdaUSA tweeted this:

“Open only to legal residents of 50 US (inc. DC). 18+”

I would guess US only as that is where the prizes are based !?

…great

We need more UK/EU contests

Good luck to people entering, hopefully we can see this MX5 come to both Horizon 2 and Motorsport 5.

The free downloads are just two themes (called “Day” and “Night”). You can find them by clicking on the Mazda dashboard ad or in themes section of the marketplace.

What about your neighbors to the north? Its a shame we’re never included in any contests

I wonder if this is anything like the first Horizon’s Honda promotion.
Livery contest… then a free DLC.

Pure driving. Pure Roadster. Pure Mazda.

Except that it’s co-developed with Alfa Romeo to also support a new Alfa Romeo roadster coming to the U.S.

It looks nice though. Hopefully we can see it in game as one of those promotional free car DLCs like Hyundai, Infiniti, and Honda in the past.

I’m thinking about making a design for this. The problem is the Hot Wheels design contest in FM5 never actually produced a winner and none of the promised prizes seem to have ever been awarded. Am I wasting my time to enter this or is this contest actually going to have a winner and prizes?

What do you have to lose? If everyone produced creative works based on some sort of reward, the world’s artistic front would be rather bleak and unimaginative, don’t you think? Worst case scenario you have something to share with others or to enjoy for yourself.

I could spend my time painting on cars I drive without the constraints of the rules of a contest. But the carrots in the form of a contest with prizes provide some incentive to do something else.

I’ll accept I missed my chance, but those official rules are confusing to me, at least. Was the landing page a app, or a advert I needed to enter in on from December 4th? I assumed I could find it within XBL services from my XBox One. Unless I needed to own a touch / smart device to access a mobile based app to find more details. ?

This contest is timed out. Up until these last 3-ish days that, the official rules where of mentioning " the Mazda landing page (the “Page”) " that’s when all of a sudden I was confused at whether I could submit my work before the end date. So I screwed up on my daily “Remembering what day it is today and, why I would want to care” and I believed that there were some set theme to be following with the line of:
3. - (To enter the Contest, you must sign into the Xbox Live service via an Xbox 360 or Xbox One console; enter the “Forza Horizon 2” game; select the available 1994 Mazda MX-5 car (the “Designated Car”); and follow the instructions available on the Mazda landing page (the “Page”) and within the Game to design a livery (the “Design”) on the Designated Car using the assets available within the Game; save your Design with the name “MX5contest”; and upload it to the “Forza Horizon 2” Storefront in the Game during the Contest Period.)
I got into game and bought the '94 MX 5 Miata, no instructions on screen for me. I didn’t think of this first a week ago, after seeing this design contest in the, Forza Hub I believe it was.
I stressed too much about the thought I gave to my car, and if it met a theme, or for where or what the landing page was?
My apologies for sounding a bit off or less knowledgeable than the ones who didn’t make it this far in my comment to reply to me. Or if I need to have access to a smartphone and/or mobile device to find this magical page of landing, this can all be disregarded then. These Forza forums are not my first place to head in objectionable times, as I know way back before Forza Horizon’s release, I was active enough to watch a few posts for Motorsport 4, I was never accepted from the “moderator review queue” so my posts would be outdated if I was to look for a game or party. I don’t come along here unless it involved a game photo, anyways.

I look forward to seeing what I would have been in on, and good luck to those entries.
Happy Gaming! -Tibbs Brian.

Voting phase should be open now.

How do we vote? Cant find any app or hub that leads to voting

If you get lucky a Mazda advertisement will show up on your Xbox. You go to that ad and then go to the contest tab to vote for one of the 5 designs. It don’t understand why they made it that way in order for people to vote.

Hope this helped.

Mazda just posted this today

Got lucky. i cast my vote. I was alittle surprised that some of my favorites didnt make the top 5. I thought the koi fish design done by Thee Mad Hatter was awesome. When I saw it I marked him as my biggest competition. On a side note my design was selected as a semi finalist. They called me on a Friday and unfortunately for me the voicemail didnt show up on my cell phone till the following Monday. I was out with my wife when I got the message and we both were extremely excited. Following the instructions to return the call within 24 hours I called as soon as we got home but their office was already closed so I called again the next morning. The girl I spoke to was very appologetic in explaining to me that she had left me a message on Friday and after not hearing from me they had to go ahead and select somoene else. Needless to say I was very dissapointed. But this was the first time I entered a contest like this so I’m proud to have been selected even though I got DQ’d. I think they are planning to announce annother contest after they declare a winner so I can at least look forward to that. Anyway congratulations to all the smi finalists.
