Mazda 323 / Familia (BD) 1980-1986
This request is for the 4th generation Mazda Familia (sold as Mazda 323 in many global markets) internally called type BD, this was Mazda’s first 323 generation which used front wheel drive as prior cars were all RWD (a highly facelifted estate version of the previous generation was still produced and sold for a few years on several markets even after the BD was already well established).
This generation was initially introduced as 3 and 5 door hatchbacks only before those were joined by a conventional 4 door saloon later and also marketed as Mazda GLC in the US. In Europe a mildly sporty GT version was available as 3 door for most of the car’s life with even more sporty models produced as JDM models. The BD generation received a mild facelift during its life as visualised in the photos below.

As a major shareholder in Mazda Ford developed their own badge-engineered versions of this generation, those were known as Ford Laser KA/KB (hatchback pre-/post-facelift) and Ford Meteor GA/GB (4 door saloon pre-/post facelift) with productions in Australia, New Zealand and even Japan for those and a variety of other markets (including Latin America and other parts of Asia).
