The European launch of the car was at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in 1977, the German magazine Auto Zeitung arranged an endurance challenge driving two cars from the factory in Hiroshima to Frankfurt (15000 km) - they made it without any major problems and both cars were exhibited at the show:
