March DLC Clue Thread

I dont think its the hudson hornet guys…its been in forza before and if we go by the continuous trend of the last 2 motorsports games then its a car new to the series.

Clue 3: the new Nissan Leaf for sure (or not sure, but it was the first car that came to mind after just seeing the commercials regarding the weird pedal system).

Car 6:

I’m torn between three drivers on this one…

AJ Foyt because he’s the only driver to win the Indy 500, Daytona 500, 24 hrs of Daytona and 24 hrs of LeMans.

Mario Andretti for being the only driver to win at F1, Nascar and Indy. But one of three drivers to have won on paved ovals, dirt tracks and road courses.

Nigel Mansell for being the only driver to be champion of two series at the same time. Defending F1 champ while being Cart champ in 1993 as a rookie.

I reckon the Mini Countryman for car 6, could be a reference to Stéphane Peterhansel whose won the Dakar Rally the most times (a couple of times in a Countryman) and the Dakar has been controversial (love him or hate him maybe?). Just another excuse to put another SUV in the game lol

Car 4: 2001 Corvette c5-r

Car 2: Seat Ibiza?

That’s a really, really good call.

Car 1
Better than coffee and rolls with butter and jam. :Suzuki Cappuccino

Car 6
Love him or hate him, he has accomplished what few have in racing. Cadillac DPI?

Car 7
What turns your crank? Turbos? Supercharging? Electrics? : Tesla Model 3?

Car 7 I think is the Jaguar C-X 75 concept: while the first prototype had a plug in hybrid system combined with a turbine engine, the road going version was meant to be with a 1.6 petrol engine (developed by Williams F1 team) both turbocharged and supercharged.

Wow if what you say is true it would be amazing indeed.

In one of the Need for Speed games it sounds like a fighter jet, really cool.

#6 IMO not a Schumi car, as Schumacher is alone with the most F1 championships. I think it could be the McLaren Senna, but Senna is almost universally loved, doesn’t make much sense. A long shot of mine (and something that would have been awesome) is Nelson Piquet’s 1987 championship-winning Williams-Honda FW11B, since Piquet is a love-hate type of person and has achieved what few men have, that is, 3 times world champion. It could also be a modern F1 car from last year, either Hamilton’s Mercedes or Vettel’s Ferrari, but the Forza GP cars aren’t numbered.

#4 I’m hoping for a Porsche 917 of course.

Car 1 - 2017 Alpine A110
Personally I want Suzuki Cappuccino. But it would be Alpine A110.

Car 2 - 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
As guessed by everyone, this car will be Alfa Romeo Stelvio. But I want to rebel to SUV.

Car 3 - 2016 NIO EP9
Many players are seeking hypercars. And this car is a suitable one to be chosen as its candidate.

Car 4 -

Car 5 - 1951 Hudson Hornet
Quotations by Paul Newman’s words. And they post this car in last year’s HMA.

Car 6 -

Car 7 - 1989 Nissan March Super Turbo
This strange compact car is one of the twin-charged cars. And like the other Nissan cars added to the DLC this car is present in their Zama museum.

Nice to see these return after being absent last month!

Something from a cars and coffee meet? Comedians in cars getting coffee?

If we look at the most recent series of that second one, the cars we don’t have are the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado and the 1958 Bentley S1.

Some kind of offroader that’s been up a mountain?

The new Range Rover Sport? That’s been driven up those 999 steps in China recently.

Either some kind of drift car or something with a KERS system?

Googling the quote brings back two people who have said it. Vince Lombardi and Paul Newman. I’ve not heard of Vince Lombardi before, and upon Googling him I couldn’t find anything that linked him to cars in any form.

That brought me onto Paul Newman. He voiced Doc Hudson in the first Cars film. This clue must be in relation to the Hudson Hornet!

Something Niki Lauda drove? He came back from near death to racing again just 6 weeks later.

I’ll go with the Brabham BT46 here, hopefully the fan car variant!

Electrics and a supercharger makes me think of a Tesla product. Tesla Roadster (the new one) perhaps?

Though it could also be a hybrid vehicle that uses an electric motor along with a turbo and a supercharger. I can’t think of any of those off the top of my head though.

1: 2018 Alpine A110
2: 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio
3: 2017 Tesla Model X P100D (because regenerative braking)
4: No ideas, so the Porsche 906
5: 1951 Hudson Hornet
6: 2018 McLaren Senna
7: 2019 Polestar 1

Car 5: 1968 Lombardi Grand Prix 850.

I googled the quote and it came up with vince Lombardi, I searched Lombardi car and then there’s the car.

Well the last one is pretty obvious. There really aren’t a lot of twin charged cars out there, especially not hybrid ones. The only cars that I can think of that are both turbocharged, supercharged, and electric are the Volvo XC90, V90, and S90. I doubt they’d intentionally add another SUV, so I’m not gonna guess that. And Volvo is known for their wagons, not sedans. So I’m gonna guess Volvo V90

Chevy Silverado or GMC.
Chevy Transverse or Colorado. Maybe GMC.
2018 Civic R.
Porsche 917.
Some kind of ancient Junkanese clunker with 30 to 45 hp.
Some kind of antique Euro heap with 32 to 47 hp.
Porsche, Audi, BMW, Nissan, Ferrari, Lamborghini, or something similar.
Just basing it on past DLC.
