About a year ago, I made a comparison of the size of the Hot Wheels map relative to the mainland. Now with EventLab Island, I figured I should update the comparison to include that and, of course, the Rally Adventure map (Sierra Nueva).
Another fun fact is that the interior of the Horizon Stadium has a diameter of about 400 meters or 437 yards, a bit over a quarter mile.
The scale might be off by maybe 1-2% owing to the in-game map and promotional maps being slightly different, making it hard to perfectly scale the promotional maps to match the screenshots of the in-game maps where distance measurements were taken.
A destination was set along a straight and the car was parked sideways a given distance from the destination. Measuring the distance between the center of the destination marker and the center line of the car marker then allowed for the scale to be calculated, conforming all maps to a size where 1 km equals approximately 100 pixels.
