I’ve played every single Forza game since it came out, so naturally I expected to get all of the Loyalty Reward cars upon playing my preordered Ultimate edition yesterday. Unfortunately, I only got one car. After doing some research, I found out the reasoning is that Microsoft has opted to verify previous games in a weird way. They require save data on your console/pc from the previous games. What this means is that you, more or less, still need to have all of the previous games installed on your console, with save date, prior to starting up Horizon 5. As we all know, the amount of data these games take up is horrendous these days and there is no way that a console player could have all of this still saved on their console from the previous versions. Even with my Series X, I could maybe only have a couple of the games.
Microsoft needs to change this and recognize achievements in the previous games to verify the Loyalty Rewards instead of save data. I realize I can just go buy the cars at the autoshow, but what’s the point of Loyalty Rewards if there is no loyalty?
