2001 Lotus M220
Probably the most obscure car I have suggested thus far. The M220 was never made, nor was it ever publicly announced by Lotus. It is only ever mentioned or seen in two things: the video game Supercar Street Challenge as seen here in these screenshots, and in the book A Life in Car Design: Jaguar, Lotus, TVR by Oliver Winterbottom (who is credited as the M220’s designer).
Since no physical nor functional model ever existed, I know the likelihood of this being added in pretty much zero, but it’s worth noting the blueprints of the M220 exist in Winterbottom’s book, and since the Hot Wheels Baja Boneshaker was only made using a toy as a reference, it’s not out of the question that an in-game model could be built from scratch. Again, most definitely unlikely to happen, but hey, if Turn 10 or Playground Games ever feel like being experimental.
