The front wing on the lotus F1 car is incorrect. It is too wide by f1 regulations. It is of 2013 spec width (to the outside of the front wheels) when it should be much closer to the middle of the front wheels.
It’s probably something in the licensing agreement with Lotus. The E23 is still in competition so if they accurately recreated the more sensitive details of the car other teams could potentially inspect them.
When F1 teams launch cars in January/February, they will normally have the previous year’s front and rear wing installed (albeit painted up to match the new livery).

As it is the 2015 car and the 2013 cars were the last to run with the full width front wings I don’t know how even running last year’s wing could make a difference. As for sensitivity with design they could have given last year’s wing model as it was already well photographed so no secrets were spilled so to speak… All all fairness though for full realism the wing should be ditched in a gravel trap with Maldonado scratching his head
