I love the forza franchise and i’ve been a forza player since forza motorsport 3. Over the years i’ve seen great improvements over the previous release. I feel like my issue was starting my forza career so late and i havent been able to take full advantage of what T10 has to offer. I used to do rival challenges and bounty hunter challenges and chase unicorns for days. All with minimal success. I miss having unicorn cars especially because it added a rarity to the game. one car in particular that i would have like to receive for my all my efforts was the s204 sti. something I wont get back, being i sold my previous console and forzas with it. is there a future possibility that T10 will ever include this feature for this game as an update or for future release games? As a player it gave me something to look forward too. In forza 4 and horizon my mailbox was always filled with gifts from T10 with rare or expensive cars. now all i see are the same to inbox messages about daily rewards. Im not mad by any means I as a loyal player just lost the spark for forza. I would never go back to gran turismo after playin forza its just not the same. Just wanted to voice an opinion and put some thought out there. Maybe this might encourage T10 to bring back some of the better features from previous titles.
maybe its because the car count was low as it is, taking out cars to use them as unicorns wasnt an option, cant see why they couldnt of used a couple of the dlc cars as unicorns though, to keep the comeptition going (which i also loved)
I’m there with you I miss the unicorns it made the game fun in a different way trying to hunt them all down I really hope it’s not the end of unicorns. It was one of my favorite things in Forza just bragging to your friends oh I got this car it’s a secret! Lol
you lost the spark? We all lost the spark in F5 and many more cars.
Unicorns are cool, until the game’s servers shut off after several years. Then you end up with a series of unobtainable cars…
That is no different than any other DLC…
Go back to F2/3 and try to get any of the DLC Cars/Tracks, just as unattainable as the Unicorns.
I’ve played both. And my point still stands. Just because it’s been done in the past, doesn’t justify it being done in the future…
Your new point may be valid but your original is still not. By your logic we shouldn’t have DLC at all because it won’t be available years down the road and “just because its been done in the past doesn’t justify it being done in the future”.
Personally I’d love to see Unicorns come back and DLC’s continue even if they won’t be available in a few years when the game servers are shut off. It’s just as likely with this new cloud system that the entire game will not be playable once the game servers go down anyway.

the cloud is not needed, thats what the day one patch was about. you’ll still be able to play forza off line.
I feel ya on loosin the spark shoot all my friends have also lost it they’ve just took out to much in this game no public lobby’s killed drag racing they took most cars away I’ve built all cars I want in many ways I’m so board I find me or my friends baught this console for forza and because it’s replay value is so low we use it as a netflix player lol
i use the xb1 for the same thing. forza is getting tiring, cod ghost is washed out. netflix has been my savior.
Go back to Forza 4 and race at Virtual Motorsport with a chance to receive a Unicorn car from Turn 10.
Im going to put together a list of how I played forza in the past.
I played until I reached around level 100.
With all the credits you earned from ranking up and cars you received as gifts money wasn’t an issue.
With that thought in mind, I sold what i didnt want ( via auction house or career), kept and bought the cars that I did want.
Im a tuner, i sat for hours trying to get the perfect tune for cars. I usually used auto trans, abs on, tcs and normal steering. so most of my tunes were based off that for newbies or novice players.
I had so many tunes in the marketplace for forza 4 that there was no need to race. I just stacked cash, now i dont even know how much im getting per tune.
I actually have to race now because there is no sellers market, there is no high credit payout, there are no manufacture discounts. yea i see how it added a difficulty to the game but in doing that it just took away my passion all together. now if you want fast cash you have to buy the coin booster. just another way t10 is making more money off the community. its great marketing but naturally if a company is gonna raise product cost the output for the community should get better not worse. Im just going to wait to see for future updates or add-ons and go from there. there is really nothing a single player can do but just wait for the new to come out and hope its better.
Basically, if you’re going to release in-game items as DLC, IMO, at some point in the future it needs to be released on a disc. Unicorns aren’t even DLC, they’re on disc cars that are unavailable except through the game’s servers. I don’t like the concept of things being permanentely unobtainable is all…
