The first problem happened on Saturday night. I was upgrading one of my cars on Forza Horizon 3. I went to purchase the upgrades, suddenly the game froze and then crashed. I decided to start up Forza again and I noticed that 1 million of my 2.5 million had went missing. Leaving me with 1.5 million credits. The next problem happened on Sunday night when I was doing a race. It is called The Goliath. I set the laps to 10 and the begun the race. Everything was going perfectly until the 10th lap started. I messed up a corner so I decided to use the rewind to have another chance. So I hit the button to rewind and it put from 1st place to 8th. I was annoyed at this point because at that time it took me 1 hour 40 minutes to get to that point. So I continued the race and then a couple seconds later it put me in 11th position. No cars passed me. I thought there was no point on quitting the race because I’ve came this far so I finished the final lap and received the rewards for 11th place. I was furious because I was basically cheated, I missed out on the XP and the credits for first place, which is a lot. This race took me a total of 2 hours to complete.
Not sure what happened with the upgrades, unless the upgrades cost around a million CR, and were ‘ear marked’ for the upgrade during the crash, I can’t see why they would have disappeared. Though credits disappearing during a crash is a known issue during Auctions and such.
The rewind on Goliath is a known issue from launch, a race that long usually causes issues with the feature. If you look on these forums you will see multiple threads about this and the general consensus is, don’t use rewind on Goliath. It’s not ideal, but the work-around is blueprint a race for like 6 laps and turn off rewind; any Goliath veteran will tell you this.
Seriously, who is silly enough to do a 10 lap Goliath race 
given the issues there are with that race and rewinds.

At least you kept going and completed the race
You never missed out on ANY xp though..you get the same whatever position you finish
Just some credits..again not that much..like people who quit and lose everything
There’s not that much difference between 1st and last anyway
Best to disable rewind and just pause and reset vehicle and you wont go back that far
HEY! I couldn’t finish! I got stuck on a rock and the reset car position was greyed out. I HAD quit… oh wait we’re not talking specifically about me… sorry I forget the internet wasn’t always about me

You press pause and then the LS button..
Unless you are a wheel and dont have the button mapped

Seriously, I feel for you. I encountered issues with the rewind not working properly in long races in every Forza title that included the feature, although it does seem worse in FH3. The Cr disappearing when the game crashed during upgrading seems odd.
Do you know any way of contacting Turn 10? I just want to see if they will get me my 1 million credits that I lost. The pathetic thing is that I was getting cosmetic upgrades for a Honda Civic when it crashed.

There’s been so many similar threads like this and not one has received any compensation for their loss
I guess that’s the only thing I can do now.
