How is this even possible ?
I hope you’ll get them back =/
Wouldn’t be the first time - usually happens from certain save data corrupting due to issues - such as hard power off when mid save cycle…
@OP: Try sending an email to forzafb@microsoft.com and include all important details.
Cheers thank u, I’m not at all happy at mo
This always scares me but so far everything points to it being a user problem. What I think happens is: Game is writing to HDD, game either crashes or seems to have crashed but in reality it is just busy writing because of bad sectors. User thinks it has crashed and reboots the console. That cause the write to fail both locally and online. On the next game start a new save file is automatically created locally because the old one is unreadable. At that point it gets critical: Since now there is an older savegame in the cloud and a new one locally Xbox Live syncs the local one to the cloud. At that point all is lost. What you should do in case of an unresponsive game: Go to the start menu. Then select Forza Horizon 3 and press the button formerly known as “Start”. Then choose “Quit”. That is the equivalent to your Windows task manager, it kills the process and ensures that all HDD accesses are completed. If you fail to do so you should reboot the console and then immediately enable offline mode. Load the game and see if your save is working. If it does, great. If you have lost all your cars, don’t worry. Go to Manage Game and delete your local save files. Turn offline mode off, start the game and the savegame that is in the cloud will be downloaded and should include your current progress (minus the last ten minutes or so).
This won’t help OP since he likely overwrote his cloud save by rebooting straight into the game but it should prevent others from experiencing the same issue (which has been around since Forza 5).
IDK Do what they are saying ^
