These are the buttons on the wheel that act as left stick button click down and right stick button click down. They’re used to change the caps lock when you’re entering text and a couple other places. I’m pretty sure they work in the other forza games. anybody else noticed this?
These buttons have never worked on the g920 on any game, even games that you can map the buttons ive never been able to get them to work
Yeah I just did a little digging it looks like Microsoft never implemented the feature in any wheel to support the stick click buttons. But apparently they have added that now and so the developers can add that feature into their firmware. So we need Logitech to get their act together and I’m sure that’s going to go well for us all. So we have no horn ability in Horizon 3 which means we can’t start a convoy. I just tested trying to use a controller at the same time as the wheel but that does not respond to the sticks for clicking, strangely it does respond to the right stick for looking around while you’re driving.
This seems like such a lame excuse. A button pressed (LSB/RSB) is simply a signal input that should and could easily be mapped to a function. Microsoft obviously knows this command as it works on regular controllers. Logitech clearly realized the importance of the mapped feature during game play or they’d not have developed a button on the G920 wheel. So why is it so difficult to make it work between these two companies??? Where is the QA before the product release??
Looking at the wheel using my PC / Logitech Gaming software it’s clear that they associate generic “button 9 and 10” to the switches. Many of the other switches like gear paddles also have a generic 'button 5 and 6" applied to them. Lets put some pressure on these companies to collaborate and fix this for all use customers. Seems like a <2 hour job but no-one’s pushing hard enough to force their hand.

Opened a ticket with Logitech support… immediately escalated to ‘product specialist’ for further review… [sigh]

Well I have a Thrustmaster TMX Pro and if I get hassles I just do a custom MAP is easy to do try it you may like it
that sounds like a perfect fix… but when I plug it into the PC it doesn’t give any options to do that for the Xbox use. Only default button mapping available or any PC based mapping I feel like doing. Which obviously doesn’t work out.
Been a while since I used it with the Xbox will have to plug it in and see if it can be custom mapped or not Or something like button swapping like you can with the Elite controller
I realize this is an old thread, but LSB and RSB on the G920 absolutely do work in other games: Project Cars II for example. I remember reading that Microsoft had fixed this in an update to the XBox One, but I can’t find the reference to that now. It would be really nice to get these mapped in Forza 7.
Edit: I think this was the reference I was remembering; it’s not definitive whether it was Logitech Firmware or XBox patch, but at least one of those two:
Still an issue today, I got mine in December of 2019 and it’s not just Forza, the buttons just have no commands
