I was listing some cars on the auction house this evening and I was able to offer one for $20m.
This surprised me as I thought this was only for legendary painters.
So I looked and looked but there’s nothing to say that I’m of legendary status.
Is there somewhere to check this? All I see is that I’m an amateur painter (thanks), rank 1.
It seems though that if I paint a car it can be listed in the AH for $20m. . . So I must be, right?
This leads me on to another question - Gamertag flairs. They don’t exist now? Just the crowns?
If you can sell any car for 20M then you are a legendary painter. there may be a couple of cars that sell for 20M anyway. Just make some fake auctions, and cancel them, and test it.
There is nothing in the game to actually indicate that anyone is a ‘Legendary’ tuner or painter. Never has been. It’s not tied at all to the painter or tuner ranks. (BTW, those ranks have been completely broken since launch for both tuners and painters … everyone playing shows as Amateur Painter Rank 1.) Legendary status is simply achieved by reaching 50K combined downloads, likes and uses of either shared paints or shared tunes. You can either count those up for your shared content or try to check your selling limits in the AH to see if you’re legendary … but that’s the only way to know. The game doesn’t indicate that anywhere.

It’s all very well being able to sell $20m vehicles but for the best part they’ll just not sell unless the only one listed. Useless IMO.
