This has been going on for a little while for me, but I’ve noticed that Forza 5 isn’t updating or saving lap times that I’ve beaten, does anyone have the same problem or know how to fix that?
If you are choosing to run Rivals mode from the post-race menu, issues have been identified using this method. Instead, always do your Rivals hot lapping from the Rivals mode menu.
I haven’t tried the rivals mode from the post race menu’s yet, but thanks for the heads up, I’ve found that it happens a lot during the career mode races and rivals mode from the menu’s too, maybe my game isn’t saving properly?
Well, judging by your Forza Rewards score, I’m assuming you are aware of the need to set new lap records with valid lap times and not invalid ones? If I am correct, try completing restarting your Xbox One console by holding down the console’s power button (not the controller) until it shuts off. Then, power it up again. If this doesn’t solve, my next guess is to be sure you are maintaining a network connection and that you are not intermittently dropping off from Xbox Live.
I have the same problem…I think that there is a limit that you can run at a track, when it just does not update it anymore.
Nope. It should keep updating.
Make sure your lap does not have the /!\ symbol next to it. If it does it means it is uncertified due to:
- Crashing
- Exceeding the game defined boundaries of the track
- Drafting
- Doing any of the above in the final sector of the previous lap
- Rewinding on the current lap
Other than that if you beat your best clean time with a better clean time then the leaderboard should update.
