I like road racing and it seems to be impossible to be competitive with rwd builds for any car. Is this normal for keyboard?
My best time around horizon circuit is 51.1 in an apollo ie s2.
My xbox friend does it in 48 with a diablo gtr rwd with like 1500hp. What am i doing wrong?
I’d say look up tunes from grandmadriving, who is a popular youtuber, ISuckatDriving, and very, very good, who uses keyboard exclusively. However, this sounds like an issue of using a handling car vs a power RWD build. The Apollo simply won’t compete with the power Diablo GTR build around HMC. 51.1 is a good time for that car. So it comes down to being able to handle power builds like the 1500 HP Diablo, which I can’t help you with. I use a wheel and power builds are pretty much impossible with a wheel, despite the fact I can compete competitively in any other type of car, being only .5 seconds off the current world record in the current monthly rivals.
51.1 is good for the apollo on hmc? I tried with my ccgt mosler and sesto elemento fe as well. I couldnt even do a clean lap in the diablo build my friend uses. I tried with traction control on too. 1500hp to the rear wheels seems impossible with binary throttle inputs.
Yeah, 51.1 is pretty good for that car there. It’s a handling car and lacks the top end acceleration on that track. It’s a very good handling car and should be very good at the tighter circuits. The Koenigsegg CCGT is probably the best option for it’s combination of handling and speed though at S2. Power builds break down the FFB on wheels making them pretty much unusable for me as well.
I would love to see power builds die, as they only exist as they break the PI system and the difficulty in using them is a massive jump from any other type of car in the game. There aren’t any in between options because even lowering the power or adding weight actually increases the PI taking them out of the class. Only a tiny fraction of people out of the 15 million people that have played the game can use them with any effectiveness. Maybe a couple thousand? Less than a thousand? A few hundred maybe?
My ccgt is slower on that track but ill try to beat that time with it
